"The restaurant only offers a brunch menu for breakfast, including a Fruit Platter, Entree, and Dessert. We were informed that we could request our burrito to be made vegan, but there were limited options available. We had to substitute black beans and cilantro rice for the Mexican rice, which contains chicken stock. The quality of the food and presentation did not meet our expectations given the price. Overall, I would say that this restaurant is not very vegan-friendly for breakfast. I suggest exploring other options for breakfast."

"the thing that I love at this place, besides the low key atmosphere and the excellent food, is the fact that every time I go, they treat them like a local, whether it is their first time there or their 27th. the owners are charming and even if it is packed, the mood is like a warm hug by a dear friend. this hidden gem is one of the best."

"Crab dip was subpar but steamed shrimp was awesome. Server never cleared the table before bringing out more food. Then the runner looked confused when I asked her to remove the dirty plates first. My husband noticed the building was under negative air pressure caused from Kitchen hood exhaust (kitchen saloon doors sucked in) causing hot humid exterior air to rush into the restaurant when the exterior doors would open. Sit away from doors if you want A/C. Outdoor seating looked nice and led to long pier on the water."

"Dear Jeff Compton, Lazy Dog Restaurant's, Valencia. Hand's Down the best customer experience I've recieved to date. As a Professional and a MBA student I highly reccomend. I've studied many businesses and transcribed many opinions, but the Food Service Industry has always peeked my interest. Gauging my product analysis on customer service, having been my profession for over 15 years. Business Analytics is an ever increasing apptitude for the strong minded. I'd put my professional and collegiate experience on the line, when I say that my experience at Lazy Dog Restaurant has equated to the best customer experience ever recieved in the city of Valencia. Having spent in excess of $10,000 annually for three consecutive years... The Customer Service, Food and Prices has yet to dissapoint. Thank You for your continuous cooperation and professionalism. I wouldn't expect any less. Sincerely, Joseph C. Cox"
"The food tasted fantastic. Every item we ordered, from the spiced fries to the burger and dessert, seemed thoughtfully prepared with attention to detail and flavor. Prices ranged from about $15 to $25, and the portion sizes and quality definitely justified the cost. You won’t find yourself needing to order extra to feel satisfied. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was very busy at the time. The interior atmosphere is beautiful, and the drinks were delicious, priced around $9 to $10 per cocktail. Be sure to visit during happy hour for discounted drinks and appetizers. Honestly, I have no complaints aside from the slightly slow service. I would definitely return."

"I've been there multiple times, and it's always a delightful experience. The wait staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient. The bartenders are knowledgeable and open to experimenting with new drinks. The seasonal menu items are definitely worth sampling, and I've never been disappointed. I've dined there both as a couple and with larger groups, and the staff manages both situations exceptionally well. It's one of our local favorites, but if you're seeking a quiet atmosphere, this might not be the best choice."
"This restaurant is clean and provides plenty of parking because it is in a shopping complex. The staff although friendly were slow in taking our drink order but our waiter Jameson was on point after that. I truly enjoyed my dinner although I wanted toavoid certain things because I was on the fence, i.e. spicy maple syrup and white gravy (sometimes your meal just gets saturatedwith it). I ordered the fried chicken dinner which was hand-dipped buttermilk boneless chicken breast, red skin potato mash, white gravy, spiced maple syrup, sautéed spinach with smoked bacon. OMG heavenly. Our teen ordered the flank iron steak (sheenjoyed it) with strawberry lemonade. First one that actually had real strawberries. My husband had the chicken parmesan. Hethought the pasta was dry but I think this is an easy fix with asking for extra pasta sauce. Would definitely dine here again."

"As Boston area transplants, my wife and I recognize authentic New England seafood when we see (and taste) it. In our opinion, the Old Port Lobster Shack delivers. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her fresh Maine lobster roll, prepared with real Hellman’s mayo just like they do back East. At first we thought it was a little pricey at $34, but a neighbor who just returned from Maine said that the going rate there is $30. Considering transportation costs for live lobster, this seems like a good deal. (FYI: The price fluctuates based on the market so you may pay more or less than we did Her mug of lobster bisque was flavorful but a bit too thick for her taste, although some people might prefer it that way. My fish and chips were terrific. There were three large pieces of perfectly cooked haddock, crunchy on the outside and moist and flaky inside, served with equally crispy and delicious fries. My meal was reasonably priced at $15.75. The Portola Valley location is small and very casual. Place your order at the counter, take your drink with you, and choose a table or picnic bench outside. There’s no indoor seating. They’ll deliver your food when it’s ready. The restaurant is conveniently located less than a mile from I-280 in the charming little Ladera shopping center. (Take the Alpine Road exit Westbound It’s hard to find a good casual fish restaurant on this side of the hill, especially one with a fresh authentic lobster roll, so we’ll definitely return when we’re in the area. As a footnote, we were surprised to see BBQ Brisket on the menu so we took home an order to give it a try. Big mistake! The meat was dry and flavorless and the sticky sweet sauce didn’t help. Barbecue is hard to get right. Instead of trying to please everyone, the “Lobster Shack” should stick to what it does best."

"We were there for the Easter Brunch event. The waitstaff was awesome (shout out to Tasha! , and the food was delicious. The bar service was awesome--a build your own **** Mary Bar and a Mimosa bar to boot. The only downside was the coffee...it was so thick it was like mud, and this is coming from a former manager for a large coffee shop chain; I like black coffee! But this was just undrinkable. I'd also liked to have seen more for the kids part of the event...it was pretty laid back. Overall, I would definitely attend next year, the value, food, service, and waitstaff were wonderful. But, if you're looking for huge activities to do with your kids on a holiday...maybe plan an extra visit after brunch!"

"On our last night visiting our kids (we live in Michigan-they live in Texas), we chose lazy dog. There was no waiting, we were seated right away. I was truly impressed with the interior decor. The birch looking trees by the concierge lent an air of nature. The metal dog sculptures were pretty awesome. I loved the beams in the high ceiling, very cool and I am inspired to create something similar in my own home. The fireplace wall was awesome, huge and the deer head mounted on it was unique and fitting. The restaurant was clean and spacious, easy to see from the road. Our waitress was Margaret and she was very friendly, knowledgeable seemed happy to be there. She brought our drinks right away. My son enjoyed the Alaskan Halibut. He raved about how good it was. The rest of us were slightly disappointed. IMO, the lazy dog takes the usual menu offerings but puts their on twist on it. There’s nothing wrong with that, it just didn’t meet our expectations. The queso was orange cheese with a different flavor-not bad, but not what we were expecting either. My daughter got the fried chicken meal. The seasoning in the breading was, different, unusual. Four of us tried it, the only one that really enjoyed it was my son. I got the pot roast beef dip. That was good and tasty. Both I and my daughter enjoyed the sandwich. The onion rings didn’t have much taste and I found them unremarkable. Hubbs got the cheeseburger which he liked and my acquired daughter got the all American burger which she liked. The portions of food were generous, but I felt the prices were high. I’m glad we tried this restaurant, but it is not going on my “must return” or favorite lists."

"Was my first time here. They gave us complementary chips which was super sweet. I love their history and how they were a family business from a small town focused on fresh ingredients. The menu is very diverse and if you have dietary restrictions, you’ll probably be able to find something to eat. The portions are not huge but just right. The Thai chicken had great flavor the chicken was a little tough but I think it was because it was white meat, which is healthier but a tougher part of the chicken. Everyone has a great time. I would say expect to spend about $30/ person for food, drink, tax and tip no appetizers."

"I absolutely adore this restaurant! It has a spacious indoor and outdoor area with a fire pit, covered patio, and it's dog-friendly. There is also ample parking available. The food is delicious and innovative, offering a unique twist on traditional comfort dishes. They also have a great selection of drinks. The best part is their frozen take-home meals made from scratch, which are very affordable with a package discount. These meals taste just as good as dining in, even on a busy work day. Ordering online is simple through their beautiful website. The restaurant is popular, but the wait line is convenient with text alerts. The staff is always friendly. I appreciate that they stay open late, making it a dependable choice for a meal. Overall, this restaurant is a hidden gem, especially for young adults in Fremont looking for a trendy dining experience similar to Oakland or San Francisco."

"I really liked the concept of this restaurant, and the menu was quite intriguing. We started with the fried deviled eggs, but unfortunately, they weren't to our liking. They were too dry, and the thick, flavorless breading really needed a sauce or something to enhance them. I ordered the fried chicken, which was decent, but I recommend getting an extra side of syrup for dipping. The gravy, however, was not impressive at all. My partner had the Chicken Cordon Bleu with mashed potatoes instead of rice, but he wasn't really impressed given the price; it was just okay and not something he'd want to order again. Overall, this place seems to focus more on the atmosphere than the food. On a positive note, I appreciated that they offered some low-carb and keto options on the menu, which I usually prefer when I'm not on vacation!"

"I recently visited this restaurant after enjoying their amazing take-home TV dinner with a family member! The atmosphere is warm and lively. The menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of flavors. We started with the Chicken Salad Wrap appetizer, which was delightfully fresh and savory. For our main courses, we had the hot and crispy West Coast BBQ pizza sticks and an unforgettable juicy Bison Burger, accompanied by their unique Umami Fries. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the endless options they have to offer!"

"The food was excellent—truly excellent. However, there was an issue. I had placed a simple order with three items, but one of them was missing. The hostess, with an overly confrontational attitude, simply said, “Yeah, they forgot to put it in the bag. If you still want it, you can come get it.” When I asked for the charge to be removed from my card, she began to scold me and told me to calm down. I requested to speak with a manager, but they just laughed and put me on hold for an eternity. When I called back, they hung up on me. It’s clear there’s a lack of training and negligent customer service. There seems to be no oversight in the front of the house—while the cooks might do their jobs well, it appears that the staff who are supposed to serve customers just don’t care."

"My daughter and I had lunch today at Lazy Dog in Chantilly, VA. We decided to sit outside, despite it being a dreary day. We were seated close to their massive fire pit, which kept us so warm and cozy. Our food was delicious. Fresh, hot and so tasty. We had the Brussel sprouts for an appetizer, and then some of their bowl entrees. However, the best part of our experience was our server, Ana. She was kind, friendly and so helpful. She didn’t miss a beat and gave us excellent service. She was a true delight and made for our day to be perfect. If you decide to dine at this location, ask for Ana. You will not be disappointed!"

"This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. As I write this at 10:23 PM, I'm still here, and it took an eternity to receive our food despite the restaurant not being busy. When our meals finally arrived, mine was hot while my husband's was cold, even though we ordered the same thing, with the exception of him having fries. I finished my entire meal while he was still waiting for his food. Eventually, the waitress brought him just the chicken, and I had to call her back to inquire about the fries. Additionally, my spinach was so salty that I couldn't eat it. The waitress could certainly use more training. I gave the restaurant a rating of 2, as the chicken was good."

"I had brunch with friends on Sunday and absolutely loved it! The rustic ambiance is charming and creates a cozy atmosphere that's hard to beat. There's a bar with seating options and an outdoor terrace for enjoying meals outside on lovely days. The drink selection is impressive, featuring a Craft Beer Club and $20 Mimosa flights, which include a whole bottle of Brut champagne. I tried the white peach sangria, and it was incredibly refreshing. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes for any day, and the portions are generous and reasonably priced. The appetizer selection is also great! I was recommended the candied bacon and crispy deviled eggs, both of which were fantastic. I highly recommend this place, especially for brunch enthusiasts!"

"We place an order for 10 people over the phone. I asked the guy how long we should wait before leaving to pickup the order and he said about 25 minutes. Well we got there they said they were still working on our food. It took them another 25 minutes or so to get it out to us. So we go thru the order the best we can in the car and everything seems good, so we head home. We get home and proceed we getting everyone their food and we end up about 3 orders and 2 sides shy of what we ordered. We call the restaurant and let them know. They were very easy to work with on getting everything that was missed. When get back to the restaurant and I'm speaking with manager, he's extremely polite and willing to resolve our issues and I'm extremely appreciative. No bad feelings here at all. The manager comps us the meals that were missed and give me a few free desert cards on our next visit. I very happy with everything, the food was good and would definitely give them another opportunity."
