"Personally, if you are spending the money to ski Deer Valley, you can likely afford the Royal Street Cafe. It is not all that much more expense than all the other cafeteria style eating available on this mountain but add in the ability to sit down and be served and it is well worth it. In the middle of a long day of skiing, lunch is an opportunity to get off your feet and recover for the home stretch in the afternoon. To me, skiing is a luxury to be savored and it is supposed to be fun. However, I do not find wandering around a cafeteria in search of food and a table to sit for lunch to be fun or relaxing. In my opinion, a perfect day of skiing includes sitting down for a little while for lunch with great service and food. Also, it is a huge plus to have access to your favorite wine, beer or cocktail of choice. Recommendation: go for the spiked hot chocolate for desert! Important! Get a reservation to make sure you can be seated since this is the only full-service restaurant on the mountain. Live long, be pono and ski lots!"
