"I used to visit this restaurant frequently before I experienced health issues starting on October 29, 2012. However, I returned, and despite many staff changes, the quality of the food, the kindness, and the efficiency of the employees have remained outstanding. One of the owner's family members recognized me, and we shared some laughs and a good conversation. To my surprise, my dinner was complimentary as a welcome back gesture. Where else in New Jersey can you find such hospitality?!!"

"I worked at The Rainbow Room back in 1988. Back then it was owned by David Rockefeller. He poured millions into revitalizing the complex. It was absolutely the most glamorous space in NYC. When you got off the elevator the first thing you was was The Empire State Building and the Twin Towers beyond. It was breathtaking. There were Pages to greet you. There was a 30 piece band and a singer in the dining room to sing the classics like Cole Porter, Gershwin, and Glenn Miller. The dance floor rotated. There were cigarette girls with pillbox hats, tight jackets with peplums and skirts with crinoline. The main bar spanned nearly one side of the floor. There was a piano lounge with a singer. David Rockefeller spared no expense. There was original artwork from Norman Bell Gedes, photos from Steichen, historic photos of 30 Rock back when the building was being built, and of architectural details of the building. In one of the private dinning rooms there was an entire wall of original Bakelite radios from the 1930's. I don't know when it closed, but the Cipriani Group are the new owners, and they have not done justice to the history and physical space. It is now a sad shell with a drab institutional look. So sad."

"I called a day in advance to make sure that my reservation was set, and the manager was so friendly and thoughtful! Overall, wonderful staff and service for a small celebration for my father's birthday! The staff was so friendly and even sang Happy Birthday! The Jamaican Snapper Special was a hit! (Shrimp and Grits is my personal Fav though) We had a small table in the private dining area, and it was right! Not too loud and the music was nice! Thank you to the staff and chefs to make my father's birthday special!"

"Very disappointing experience. Music was at a dance club level, making it very difficult to carry on a conversation. The waitress was nice but had been given way too many tables. Food came out in two waves. The first half (2 persons) the food was cold. The second half of the table came out and it was incorrect. Gumbo was served with a plastic spoon and the gumbo had chicken bones in it. The oxtail was old and fast cooked, it was Flavorless and chewy. It took 20 minutes to get the bill , once requested. Frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for $275 for 5 persons."

"Went here for a last minute dinner after setting up our campsite at Dunewood Campground next door. Friendly staff, good food. Great atmosphere. There's a big outdoor area too; if we had gotten in sooner, I would have loved to sip a cocktail or glass of wine by the fire pit outside! Parking is in the back. When we got there it was full, so we parked across the street. I had the summer pasta salad. My boyfriend got the burger. When we got our food, he realized he forgot to tell them no cheese (lactose intolerant), and they graciously took it back and cooked a new one right away without cheese. Hopefully will be going back to the dunes in the future and will gladly come back here again! "At the crack of dawn, still operating on east coast time, we found ourselves at Laurie’s. Coffee was good- GREAT at that hour! And the staff never let me see the bottom of the cup. In fact, the most noteworthy of this place is the waitstaff. They were amazing. Chorizo omelette was humongous and the BLT was loaded with bacon and avocado. Definitely not stingy! Highly recommend for a solid, albeit predictable menu, well-executed."

"We have reserved for 5 on Mother's Day and it was a disaster from the beginning to the end. We went in and we were not even recognized for a few minutes, although the two employees saw us (it is a small place and we were the only people who stood at the door). After a while, we see a sign in the back to put ourselves, so we did disgusting. We were there for about 20 minutes before someone finally came by and told us we were scanning the code and order. That was the scope of the service we have received. Food came staggered, cold and dry. had to ask for utensils and drinks that we had asked several times at the beginning before they were finally brought out. The table behind us never got her food after an hour and finally left angry. We're not difficult to ask people, but I had to leave a review. So we do not want to spend the day of our mother, very disappointed and not recommend."

"I've visited this restaurant several times and have consistently had a great experience. It's located away from the main strip, which makes for a more tranquil atmosphere, and they have pretty good hours. It's an excellent choice for groups, featuring an open and spacious layout with plenty of outdoor seating. The staff is friendly, and the food is delicious! "We visited here for the first time We stopped by a local hardware store. We will definitely go back to the diner, even if we don’t need a trip to the hardware store. The service was spectacular. Everybody was extremely nice, even other patrons not just the staff. Food was excellent. Loved the family. Feel strawberries on the bill is a great touch as well. "I ordered breakfast for myself and my mom. The Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a bagel (you can choose your bagel) was average, but the three plain pancakes were terrible. Each pancake was burnt. When I called the restaurant to address the issue, one of the staff members told me that I would have to place a new order to get a fresh batch of pancakes. Unfortunately, after explaining the situation and providing pictures as proof, we were unable to get a fresh batch delivered to us today. I won't be ordering from here again."
