"Home Made Central American Cuisine. Since it was fourth of July and my husband had off from work we decided to visit on of our favorite parts of New Orleans Carrollton Avenue. We wanted some authentic home made Central American food so we went to Panchita's. It was about one thirty when we got there and the place was packed (we had to wait about five minutes for a table to come available). The menu is pretty large so it took us a fee minuets to decide while we ate tortilla chips and salsa. My husband ordered the tamal de barbacoa while I had the milanese de rus con papas. The food took about half an hour to be prepared but it was clear when it arrived that it was made to order and very authentic. We finished our meal by sharing a flan. I wish I lived closer so I could frequent this restaurant more!"

"I live in broward and wanted to try this place for a past, was a lover of seafood? this place is directly from 826, very spacious, service was ok, most of the waiters do not speak English and when I asked if their seafood were wildly caught or bred, they had no idea what I was talking about. So I told them to check with a chef or chef who they did and the manager came to our table to confirm that all their seafood are wildly caught. what was good to do, but they should train their employees properly. I order the wild caught salmon with Zilantro sauce with maic and nabeby ceviche, everything was delicious and fresh! we sat inside and there were many flying, not good. except that there was a pleasant lunch. we're coming back."

"I come to this location to people watch while I eat here and I can definitely say that the new cashier with the Stitch pins on his hat is an amazing worker with a wonderful personality. I wish the rest of the teenaged crew could learn a thing or two from him. He's kind-hearted, thoughtful, and really knows how to cheer me up (even though he's new). He keeps the diner clean very immaculately and the tables smell like I can trust to eat off of it. If the company just hired him, they need to keep him.. AT ALL COSTS!!! Thank you very much Stitch pins cashier, you're now the only reason I come here everyday now.. don't let the other workers get you down, you're doing a great job in my book! EDIT: This review is for the Stitch pin cashier, no one else in the store. Everyone else is rude, rushy, careless.. he's the only one working like a truly respectful employee. Don't get my review twisted, it's only for him.. everyone else sucks. Especially the red head, (Jazz, I think it was) she rushed me with my order and Stitch pin cashier was very patient with my order. Thank you so much Stitch pin cashier, you're the true MVP! Kid-friendliness: Management should consider setting up a kid's play space in the back of the diner!"

"We celebrated Thanksgiving with dinner at the Torreyana Grille. We were a party of five adults and it was our first time at this property. We arrived one hour before our reservation time , but were still seated promptly. The service staff was top notch and very attentive throughout the entire dinner. For dinner, four members of our party ordered the traditional Thanksgiving dinner and it was excellent. The fifth person ordered a prime rib dinner, cooked medium. The prime rib was brought to the table at the same time as the traditional turkey dinners, but the meat was extremely rare. At first the person did not want to complain, but within five minutes realized that it was too rare for their taste. They asked that the it be cooked a little more and our waiter, who was very accommodating, took it back to the kitchen. Unfortunately, when it was returned to the table it was overcooked to the point of being inedible. We chose not to make it an issue and nothing was said at the time. This was the only reason for the less than perfect rating in the overall and food categories."

"The manager philipino transgender that wears braces was sending me home for not wanting to read and scrolling down the coupon on my phone, and when I decided to ask her again that the coupon expires in 7 days, and then she decided to scroll down on my phone till she found the QR code to scan and give my free product. What I don't like about this manager is that she only looked at it and defined that it was something that I had to buy 5 meals per month to redeem for queso and chips. and She was totally embarassed for not scrolling down all the way to really serve the coupon."

"A MUST-TRY RESTAURANT! From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home and were treated like family. My wife, who is Puerto Rican but has never connected with that side of her family, was truly touched by the experience. It was our first time trying Puerto Rican cuisine, as we're from the Midwest, and we sampled a variety of dishes. I can honestly say that everything was fantastic, but our absolute favorite was the mofongo. We loved it so much that we went home and started making it ourselves! This hidden gem in such a large metropolitan area is not to be missed!"

"ALERT The cafe building burned during the early morning hours of 12/17/2023. So sad!!!!!!!! Harris Ave Cafe holds 2nd place for our family among all the breakfast restaurants in Bellingham/Fairhaven. (First is Mount Bakery Fairhaven, but this cafe is a super close second. I had an amazing Polenta Rancheros and husband/son loved their Breakfast Chimichangas. I ordered a cornmeal buttermilk pancake, and even though it wasn't fork pull tender (haven't found that quality anywhere in Bham it was fluffier than anywhere else around, and richly flavorful too didn't even need syrup (though of course I did add some! . The coffee is a nice medium roast and it's very smooth. Our server did a great job of keeping our mugs topped off and provided the perfect level of service and check ins to see how we were doing. Highly recommended!"

"The food is consistently amazing! I live about 15 minutes away, and I can still order and enjoy their perfectly crispy fresh empanadas. Of course, dining in is always a better experience. I do wish they had a wider selection of drink options—I'm not sure smoothies pair well with empanadas. My only minor complaint is that I wish they offered larger portions of the sauce. I find myself scraping the bottom of the container! That pink sauce is delicious, especially coming from someone who usually doesn't like sauces. The only reason I'm giving it four stars, aside from that, is because there's such a great variety of empanadas. I really hope they add even more options in the future!"

"I frequent here often since I work in the area. The food is delicious and the service is normally wonderful. However, I wish I had been told when I ordered that they only have one cook and the wait time for my order (one noodle dish and one side) would be a 45-minute wait. I probably would have went back to work instead of waiting in the restaurant for almost 40 minutes before they notified me of how they were having a rough night. I’m still giving it 5 stars because this has never happened before. I know it happens especially with how hard it is to staff food service these days. A heads up would be appreciated next time. "New to the neighborhood, first time at L’Amina, did not disappoint. You look for a place with great food and even better people when you are in a new location, this is the spot. Zach made us feel like we were at a friends house. The pasta special (spaghetti with sausage to understate it) was excellent, gelato with caramel sauce addicting (got it to go). Took a pinsa to go to have for tomorrow, had to try a bite, the crust is out of this world. This will be a regular spot."
