"This is the establishment that downtown Burlingame needed! The ambiance is perfect to relax with a glass of wine. They have pleasant music playing in the background and somehow the acoustics of the space made it easy to converse without having to talk loud. They offered me a complimentary sparkling wine as soon as I sat down! The wine selection is huge, even though I didn't know much about particular wines, I described what I liked to the owner Jason and he ordered delicious wines for me. The staff was very friendly and the open layout, high ceilings, and seating areas are very inviting without feeling pretentious. I love outdoor seating and this place has a small outdoor patio in the back. They offer small plates that pair well with wine. I tried one of the deserts and it hit the spot. Downtown Burlingame finally has a wine bar and Velvet 48 nailed it."

"We had very excited for our tea experience at Russian Tea Room on our visit to NYC and will say the interior is eclectic and cool and service was very attentive. The first course of sandwiches was good not great. The regular dessert course was good- decent scones, mini creme brûlée was the best. Sadly daughter (12), who had the gluten free dessert discovered mold on her chocolate pyramid and when replaced with a new one by management, that also tasted like mold. So, needless to say we were left disappointed, especially considering the high price."

"A pub in name only, this is a fantastic restaurant nestled just outside of the hustle and bustle of the valley in Woodside. Fine Dining Prix fixe (3 course) menu starting at $130, with options for everyone and additions available. Amazing wine list with multiple sommeliers to guide you through the options. Classic supper club atmosphere, steamed white table clothes, personal wait staff. And amazing food. A great experience."

"We had such a fantastic experience on Friday October 20th.... our server was amazing having a birthday shot brought to my best friend.... we are 2 girls in town for a birthday celebration and at one point an older drunk gentleman approached our table and while we didn't feel in any danger the girls and staff were immediately very cognizant of what was happening and came to check on us multiple times... after he left they immediately bought us a round of drinks on the house.... thank you ladies and thank you for the suggestion on where to go after our fantastic dinner xoxo"

"Never been to Moto. A bit put off initially by the hostess staff whom seemed to lack maturity. This staff initially seated my wife and I at a table adjacent to the kitchen; which was noisy. Prior to being seated I asked to be moved to a quieter table and the hostess seemed put off. Despite the existence of numerous vacant booths I was told they were unavailable and I suggested that my wife and I would simply go elsewhere. Moto is a bit pricey and we wanted to enjoy a quieter experience. Ended up seated in the bar which turned out to be nice. Plenty of room and not as noisy as one may expect. Robert, our waiter, did an outstanding job. Full working knowledge of the menu and very engaging. An absolute pleasure to work with. Great attitude. The food experience was great. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals which included salad, pasta, wine and bread. Very nicely done and appreciated Robert’s insight into the various dishes. Refreshing. We certainly will visit again and hope that the hostess staff just had an off night. Definitely will seek out Robert. Thank you,"

"First of all, the house dressing? Absolutely AMAZING. I have been dining here for over 10 years and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. However, I’m writing this review to highlight how well they managed my partner’s food allergy. We often encounter issues when ordering since he has a milk allergy (not just lactose intolerance), and usually, about 70% of the time, our meals still include milk or cheese. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the woman’s name, but she was incredibly knowledgeable about the ingredients and took great care to double-check with the cook about what was in our order when we picked it up. "Oh my goodness! How did I go for over ten years without trying a sandwich from this amazing restaurant?! We ordered the avocado club (no mayo) and the Italian cold cut with all the fixings, and oh my gosh! I can't even begin to describe how delicious these sandwiches are – they blew my mind! They made me so incredibly happy that I even found myself dancing while eating. And why not?! My heart is so full and happy now that I've paired them with some jalapeño kettle chips. I felt like I was in heaven for the 15 minutes it took me to devour half of the avocado club. These sandwiches are huge, so you can either share them or save some for later. Thank you so much! <3"

"I can't believe it took me so long to come back to this restaurant, but I got married in the meantime so I have a good excuse. It has definitely become my favorite place for hummus. I tried some new items this time: the French toast, made with challah bread which was a bit soggy but had tasty halva shavings on top. I also had a shawarma platter, which was similar to a taco. The portion of meat was smaller than expected for the price, but it was tender and delicious. I wish it was a bigger serving. We chose couscous instead of rice, which was flavorful. I also tried the Shakshuka Senya, made with ground beef, which my friends enjoyed the most out of the three shakshuka options. It came with fluffy and warm frena bread, which was a highlight. The mazze dishes were good overall, but the quinoa was a bit boring and the cauliflower was repetitive as it came with one of the brunch sides. As a bonus for leaving a review, I received a free dessert instead of free hummus. I chose the kitchen kadif, which came with ice cream and was a crispy and delicious treat, especially because I love halva. I would definitely order this dessert again."

"I recently had my first visit to this restaurant. When I arrived, a woman directed me to order from the menu displayed on the wall. I chose a chicken cutlet wedge, which was listed for $9.95. However, when I received my bill, I was surprised to see a charge of $12.95. I brought this issue to the owner's attention, and instead of addressing my concern directly, she began discussing politics, the economy, and how Covid has impacted their pricing. I expressed my disappointment, noting that it was misleading to advertise certain prices and then charge more. The owner explained that updating the menu was too costly. Unfortunately, this left me with a negative impression of the place. Paying $13 for a chicken cutlet sandwich feels like one of the highest prices in town."

"A great local restaurant. Food is very good and they’ll accommodate virtually any request, even off menu. They lose points for easily correctable items. 1 A surcharge was added for using a credit card. Not made known ahead of time. Not on menu, not on website, no sign noticed and were not told by wait staff. And we had a large party. 2. Wait staff inside was overburdened while those tending outdoors were standing around. Mismanaged. 3. Wait staff not properly trained. It’s a profession not just a job. Many mistakes and failures. Made for distraction. 4. Their requested dress code is meaningless. Some guests looked as if they just came in from yard work. Note these are fixable issues and a reflection on management. Will likely go back but not with more than one guest until they improve service issues. Would have given 3+ stars if had the choice but rounded up."

"Decided to try this place out since we always get fliers for it in our mail box. They are slightly more expensive then our normal place that is just a little further north on Peoria. The food was good. I had the hunan chicken. Their wantons were also good. They were different then I'm used to because it tasted like they had onion in them. I may be back if I don't want to drive to my normal place."

"Pretty solid diner food. I had this talaria dish with pineapple and coconut that was on the specials menu that was very good. There were lots of sides to go around with our meals, from curly fries and sweet potato fries to butter corn and house salad. Most of us took some food home in a box, so while it was slightly expensive for a diner, we got our money's worth."

"Iitried to make reservations for but only a table of was available. When we arrived we were seated at a table for Noticed other tables empty. Donât understand their reservations system. While our waiter was excellent, it took a long time to get waited on. The place did not appear to be understaffed. Food was good but the quantity could have been larger given the cost. Overall, I found the place to be average and I will not return. If someone would ask my opinion, I would tell them to go as their experience could be different than mine."
