"A few minutes later, Michelle came out and explained that the chef wasn't present, but she was the cook for the night. She honestly admitted she wasn't sure, possibly farm-raised. A little later, she returned to inform me that she had checked and confirmed they served wild-caught gulf shrimp. I ordered the traditional po'boy, which was delicious and served with the best fries I've had in a long time—house-cut, slightly larger than steak fries, and cooked to perfection.
Unfortunately, Johnny was largely absent throughout the evening; all the bar seats were occupied, yet we received no service. At one point, a guest had to search for him just to get their check. The following day, when I returned late in the afternoon, I found him at the bar alongside what appeared to be the bar manager. Again, he tended to wander off. One customer ordered a beer using a drink coupon and requested a bottle of water, handing Johnny a $10 bill to cover the water. After 20 minutes of multiple requests for the water, the manager eventually went to find him, got the water and the money, and returned both to the customer.
As an update, Michelle was on duty again tonight, and I tried the wings. They were amazing—perfectly crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. The best part? She came out to check on me!"
