"Boca is certainly a gem of a restaurant nestled in the downtown core of St.John’s. My first impression of Boca was the attention to detail. The entrance is beautiful and as soon as you enter you can feel the warmth from the friendly staff. The three times I have visited everyone had a smile on their face and seemed to be having a fabulous time. I have enjoyed all the dishes I have tried so far however the black bean soup and meatballs are outstanding! I highly recommend everyone give this place a try. Enjoy some live music with a few drinks while dining on tapas! Pura Vida!"

"Our first time here, celebrated our 30th anniversary. They had a nice seat in the train car room reserved for us. They did not acknowledge our anniversary, which was a bit of a disappointment. Our waitress was super attentive for the first 10 minutes then disappeared for the next twenty. So we waited 30 minutes to put our order in. My wife enjoyed the ribs and I had the tilapia, which was quite meaty. The cream sauce however was quite heavy and drenched the fish, defeating the purpose of trying to eat health. The chocolate tower dessert was very good. Prices were quite reasonable."

"Washington Inn is one of our favorite restaurants and we usually visit 1-2x per year. It was good but both my husband and I felt it wasn’t as good as it used to be. The wine bar was jammed and hard to find a spot and stay out of the servers’ way. Once seated on the porch by request it was quiet and comfortable and our server, Rachel, was fantastic and attentive as always. The food was good with the steak tartare a standout but our other go-to dishes weren’t as delicious as usual. Lamb in cavatelli was dry chunks instead of the tender shreddings that it used to be. I had the crab cakes and my husband had the sea bass. We skipped dessert because we really wanted to have it at the bar with a drink but even after 9:15 the bar was packed so we went elsewhere. Rachel surprised us with a sorbet for our anniversary since we passed on dessert. Thank you."

"Delicious! We ordered Chicken Adobo, Lumpia, BBQ Skewers, and Caldereta, and everything was fantastic. However, the standout dishes for me were the Skewers and the Chicken Adobo. The baked goods were also wonderful, offering a selection of ube desserts! I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back. Just a tip: bring your own water bottles, as there is a charge for water."
