"After trying to get into Five Leaves several times over the past three years, we decided to walk in on a windy Sunday afternoon the day after Christmas for brunch—and were lucky to be seated immediately. The indoor seating is quite tight, but we managed to find a relatively quiet table near the entrance. The restaurant was about 90% full, and although the staff were busy, they maintained a reasonable service time of around 20 minutes.
We ordered the Golden Dawn cocktail ($14), which was bursting with flavor and had a good kick of spirits. For food, we chose the Spinach and Feta Classic Aussie Roll ($8) and the Spicy Harissa Chicken Pie ($8), both of which were truly delicious. We also tried the Avocado Toast ($12), topped with a thin layer of shaved radish. While the presentation was appealing, the radish didn’t add much to the flavor as one might expect. However, the grilled 7-grain bread was excellent, and the lemon oil provided a nice flavor boost.
Overall, the service was prompt and attentive. We’re likely to visit Five Leaves again and hope for no wait time next time. The menu offers some great options worth exploring!"
