"My wife and I wanted to eat breakfast on a Sunday morning in a different place. We decided on this diner because it has the oldtime diner look and we were not disappointed in that it did have the feel as well. All the indoor seating tables have a bright airy touch. There is a counter if you prefer to eat there. The service was instant. I had a short stack of whole wheat blueberry pancakes with coffee, the warm maple syrup in the metal pitcher was a nice touch. My wife had two eggs over-easy with bacon as well as coffee. We both were satisfied with our vittles. The clean bathrooms are downstairs. On a Sunday all metered parking is free and more than ample. Nice place for a change, Hastings is very quaint and great for a short Sunday stroll."

"To celebrate my birthday, I had a few local restaurants to choose from, but with our 5-week-old baby girl, we were limited. This was our first night out, and I picked my favorite place for dinner. We are always satisfied with the food and the early bird special. The staff is consistently attentive, and the menu offers plenty of options. I love this restaurant, and it was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday and enjoy our first night out in a few weeks. It's a large local diner in an area with several choices, but it's definitely our favorite."

"Went with my husband for lunch. The service was nice and friendly. For drinks we ordered a strawberry daiquiri which was bitter and not sweet (I added some sweet n low and it tasted fine after that) and a Long Island Iced Tea which was strong and had a nice flavor. We had soup and wings for an appetizer. I don’t see why they call them “buffalo” wings if they are just fried wings with no sauce. For $16 it seemed a bit of false advertising as we wouldn’t have ordered them if we knew they were like that. For our mains we had a roast beef sandwich and a eggplant panini. Both were really good. Lots of fries, perfectly rare roast beef which came with a side of mayo that we didn’t even have to ask for. The eggplant panini was delicious with melted mozz and roasted pepper. Overall it was good enough, I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again but I wouldn’t avoid it either."

"Poor service. We were there right at peak dinner time. Granted, it was a weeknight. But there was just one server/cashier in addition to the kitchen staff. Hardly any customers. When it came time to pay, I stood at one of two registers, not realizing I was at the wrong one. Server/cashier ignored me for at least 5 to 7 minutes, after which she walked over to the other register, still barely acknowledging me. I gave her my credit card, she ran it, put the copies on the counter, still said nothing to me (not a thanks, not a have-a-nice-day, nothing) and just walked away. The atmosphere was typical for a diner, but as I mentioned it was noticeably empty. I ordered typical American fare, and the portion and quality were passable at best."

"On a rainy Sunday morning, I found myself with a classic New York craving for diner food. As I entered, I was met with a chorus of cheerful greetings that instantly brought a smile to my face. "I stopped here because my parents pickup merchandise in the area and my mom recommended this place. When walking in it was a cute diner. The lady working was very sweet. She recommended the 3 meat sandwich and honestly it was incredible. It was about 14$ which I thought was overpriced but the sandwich itself was very very good. The ranch here was very very good. I will be back I thought my food was great"

"I had dinner on July 21, 2010, and it was a typical experience, but the service was disappointing. Our server, who had a ponytail and a larger build, first asked me how old I was—I'm 65—and then questioned if I was going to pay full price. Is that how you treat a regular customer? The service was very slow, and she spent a lot of time chatting with her coworkers instead of attending to us. I also noticed her mistreating the bus staff. Please consider replacing her. "First off, WHAT A MENU UPGRADE There were so many new selections placed on the menu and I had an extremely hard time making a decision on what it was that I really wanted to order. Photos attached include a deluxe beef cheeseburger which has fresh tomatoe, lettuce, mushrooms, red onions, yellow and green peppers with a side of fries. You also have pancakes deluxe which includes eggs, bacon, ham and sausage. I ordered extra bacon instead. Last but not least, the appetizer which was potato skins with broccoli and cheese. THAT WAS DELICIOUS. Don't get me wrong, EVERYTHING was great from start to finish. S/o to my server NOAH. He was on point with his service. It was pretty crowded and the atmosphere was calm. It's a great feeling when you walk into a restaurant and pick up the vibes off rip. The servers had it together and you could tell that they all enjoyed working with one another. I'm going back to try other items on the menu soon. The Long Island tea are HITTING."
