"We were in Prime 225 in January 2022 for my birthday, and we had an absolutely wonderful time. But I will not make the mistake to spend my dollars at this restaurant again. We were so impressed the first time that I convinced my family to visit us from CT for Easter specifically so that we could take them there. Let me be clear, they were coming just because of how much we raved about this place. Since there are 7 of us and I know it is a small place, I first called for a reservation in mid-February, and was told to call back “next week” because the book for reservations wasn’t open yet for April. I called the following week, and the week after that, and they finally told me to call in mid March. So I called on 3/14 and the gal told me I could only come on a weekday with seven people. I explained I have family coming in from out of town specifically to go to this restaurant, so she told me to call the manager on Wednesday to see if it was possible. At this point I’m beyond frustrated with the amount of time I have wasted, but I called again as instructed and spoke to the manager. Who then told me that he was completely booked up the night before Easter. I pushed back and said that was surprising since I have been calling every week literally for weeks and been told they were not accepting reservations yet until just two days prior, so how could it be booked all of a sudden?! He grumbled at me and told me I could come at 5 or 8:30 that night, which clearly indicates there are actually reservations available. I am not going to eat at 5 or wait until 8:30 just because I happen to have seven people in my family. So at this point I told him to forget it, as clearly they have zero appreciation for their customers. I have never had to work so hard to try to get a reservation in my life, only to be strung along and my time wasted calling over and over just to be refused a reservation because I have (gasp seven people in my family. Oh the horror that I would even dare to ask for such an inconvenient thing as a reservation for seven people! Sarcasm aside It shocks me that a restaurant would turn down a small family group who are excited to celebrate together, and are willing to spend a very large sum of money at a very expensive restaurant to do so. Knowing the prices of this place and the fact that we like good steaks and even better wine, this dinner would easily have been $1,200-1,300 for us, since a dinner for four back in January was almost $650 and we only had one bottle of wine then. So in the end I do not recommend this restaurant if you like to support businesses that appreciate their customers, even if they want to bring Grandma with them to dinner."
