"I used to visit this place years ago when it was called something else (Lucky something.. and the food was outstanding. So good that my dad and I looked forward to it. Clearly ownership has changed hands since then but while the place looks exactly the same and the service is still pretty good the food has gotten so lazy and cheaply made that the sauce tastes like it's all the cheapest canned versions of whatever they thought would pass for that dish. And I mean bad like somebody went to WinCo and got a flat of powdered or canned sauce and then didn't bother to even try to dress it up, much less taste for seasoning before serving.And I gave the food two stars instead of one because when I got mine, it was nice and hot, so at least someone put some effort into selling the bad food hot I guess.I really hope someone in charge there will take notice and make efforts to bring a standard to their food again. It's in an amazing location for business but no wonder it was a complete and silent ghost town when I visited recently. It felt like being in detention with abject silence to where the only other party in the place was a couple who clearly felt as awkward as I did and stopped speaking to each other except for muttering like a couple of kids on a sleepover trying not to get caught staying up too late chatting. Except not nearly as fun and definitely could hear each other chewing instead.This place has all they need to thrive and they're choosing to cut corners on the main product to let it fall to such a level?We're not in the shutdown anymore, guys. There are ways to be cost effective and not serve garbage to keep it cheap.Whittle down the menu a bit perhaps to the big favorites, cross utilize ingredients, and stop using horrible canned sauces to start please.I really would love to see this place resurrect the food it once had and come back to life as a special spot."

"Probably the worst that food I have had in Portland.We got cashew nut chicken, red curry, tempura, and salad rolls.Everything was pretty bad.The vegetables in both the curry and stir fry were way, way overcooked and soft.The salad rolls fell apart and I had to eat them on a plate with a fork and poured the sauce over them.Everything was super bland.All in all, probably the worst That food I have ever had and I have eaten Thai food all over the world, including Thailand, London, NYC, Chicago, PDX, etc..."

"Some of the best Thai food I had at this price. Her garlic sauce is very fully flavored without overwhelming. Pad see Eew was also tasteful. Her pork was tender with the fat soft and edible. Someone doesn't rush to cook the protein. They're getting slow, so it's tender. I was surprised at these prices that someone spent so much time to make the pig tender. DEFINITELY will be a recurring customer and bring others here to enjoy."

"I understand Mongolian beef is a mixture of beef onions and scallions, The onions in this dish totally overpowered the beef. And as regards to scallions, there was very little. There was some heat to the dish, and the beef was moist. But it definitely needed some salt. In the photo I separated the beef from the vegetables so you can see the proportion of onions to beef."

"I went back to Crescent moon for the first time after a negative experience I had celebrating Mothers Day last year. Unfortunately, it was a bad decision. The service and food quality has worsened since the last time. First we walked in to an empty restaurant as a family of 4 and we asked to sit at a larger table. The owner insisted we sit at the smaller table for 4. The smaller tables are not designed to have a family style meal. With multiple dishes, it was so uncomfortable. I still can’t understand why they would not allow us to sit at a larger table given no one was at the restaurant. Food Review Chicken wings 0/10 the picture below is what they consider “spicy chicken wings.” It’s fried chicken with drizzle of some seasoning. It came out hot, which is great.. but it was nearly tasteless. Shrimp Chow Mein 2/10 looks like authentic Chinese food, but the taste is far from it. Despite ordering extra spicy, it lacked flavor. Hot and Sour Soup 7/10 I personally enjoyed the soup! it was flavorful and hot! Shezwan Shrimp 5/10 It was medicore… there was nothing special about it. I think the biggest turn off of the night was how unwelcoming it felt during our time there. Customers chose your restaurant out of 100s of halal options… treat them well and provide quality food and experience. I would recommend Chef Chen, Masala Wok or Red Hot Chili Pepper over Crescent moon. This was our last shot we wont be back. Dietary restrictions: Halal"

"Absolutely delicious! The food is fantastic! The interior is cozy, and the service is very welcoming. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are impressive. They could easily charge more, and it would still be worth it. You get free soup with your order and a complimentary soda with the $10 meal. We will definitely be returning! They also offer great vegetarian options. The Chow Mein noodles are simply amazing – I was hooked from the very first bite. Definitely give it a try; you won’t be disappointed!"

"That was my first time here. I saw they had good reviews and they were accurate. I'm starting with the decor. Everything is clean and stylish and very comfortable. Our waiter (V) was very attentive and was always about what we needed. The food was amazing. The imperial rollers are light and crispy. The fried rice was just the correct amount of sticky without being lumpy. The Tofu (ja Tofu) was the perfect consistency. It was light and crispy on the outside and had a creamy texture and not too dense. The general chicken had some heat on it, but not too much to ruin the flavors. Also the tea (there are 3 possibilities) was delicious. I will definitely put this on a short list to meet when I go through. Very impressed!"
