"I visited on a saturday with two other people. The server was a little flustered, and as he under the drinking age he confessed he couldn 't make any cocktail recommendations from his own experience. The hostess provided some good recs, though. My companions each had the green curry in coconut milk with udon noodles, and they both loved it. I always try pad thai at every restaurant that has it, and I knew going in that this was not necessarily a 'classic ' PT, but something new, with a soy sauce base. Unfortunately it lacked the aspects of PT I appreciate the most namely, crisp bean sprouts, green onions, and peanuts (there were plenty of the latter at least). The sauce was too heavy and overpowered the delicate balance of the other ingredients, and the sauce 'puddled ' on the bottom as opposed to lightly coating the noodles. It didn 't taste bad, but the texture was just dull and boring without the crispness of fresh, less cooked bean sprouts and green onions, it just had an overall 'soft ' mouthfeel, with the thankful addition of good peanuts. The named, classic cocktails were all decidedly in the 'sweet ' category, with no 'dry, ' more savory cocktails to be found. I did enjoy the tequila mockingbird, with a hint of black pepper dusting the top. Overall, I 'd return and try other dishes, but I 'd probably pass on the cocktails entirely and stick with their large beer selection."

"Building has survived under several names, always a restaurant with seemingly endless list of available beers and ales. The chosen moniker was obviously a oxymoron since it's easy to say, remember and definitely not a dive. Upbeat vibes permeate the atmosphere, restrooms are clean and well stocked and there's adequate spacing between tables for optimum comfort. The Dive has a good menu variety whether you seek pub food, business lunch, or date dinner as it's small but features items picked for the pleasure of your palate. I can tell you that you'll need more tortillas and salsa with their fajitas as serving comes with three but worry not, there's plenty for two to share and be fully satisfied. Today I tried the Vegan's nightmare and I must say I've never seen a bigger, busier burger. Server warned me it was a lot of food but left it for me to discover the fun of eating it, lol. I had to ask for a separate plate and use utensils. Pretty darned messy but knife and fork helped and flavors were great. Burger seemed hand formed, was perfectly cooked and juicy, egg imparted savory notes awesomely combined with ham, jalapenos were proportional for proper kick and bbq sauce/fried pickle combo married together great. This one isn't for the faint, folks. Loaded fries it comes with could serve two by itself and they're great with a mug of beer. Food preparation, presentation and portions are in the very good category and beer is extra cold. Service has usually been from attentive, articulate and personable staff. Above average quality of food and service makes it worth your while to try the Dive for a change of pace from time to time, in my opinion. Edit: Owner kindly replied that the Dive does indeed have a children's menu and highchairs as well as happy hours Monday through Friday from 4-7 pm."

"Flipdaddy's is a locally owned place that we tried for the first time on an evening after a tee ball game near Corydon. We arrived an hour before closing and normally I would never go in that close to closing time. We were sat right away and the place still had quite a few folks there. The decor was really cool as they had beer taps on the wall as you entered and bourbon bottles as chandeliers. Neat touch! Our server Danielle was incredibly friendly and even though she was busy, she took great care of us. Drinks never became empty and she gave us plenty of advice on the menu. We ordered the pickles as appetizer. They were excellent and I like that they did spears and coins for the pickles. We placed our order and I decided to walk on the wild side and have the PB&J burger. I've been wanting to try a burger like this for years and (upon recommendation from Danielle), I ordered it. THE best burger I've had in years!! Everyone enjoyed their food as we all got something different. They have a ton of variety in their selection of burgers but they also have other dishes and sandwiches if you're not in the burger mood. We never felt rushed while eating our dinner and the food came out perfect according to how we ordered it. Side note: they advertise the burgers being cooked medium well but you can request well done. We will be stopping at this location every time we're in the area as we love supporting local businesses that do a great job. And quality is much different than the other big chain places on that street. Thanks so much and looking forward to visiting again!"
