"I like traditional regional food. This place is in an area called Asia on Argyle. It is traditional. There were no other eat in folks there for the whole time I was there. I think that the menu is $1 or $2 higher than some of their neighbors. They did have a number of delivery people pick up tho. I loved their tables and chairs. The tables were green and looked like stone. Probably not but it sure seemed like it. The chairs were sturdy and I weigh 260 lbs. so that makes me comfortable. I did not have the Spring rolls as they were a little pricey. They do brag on their soup. I tried it. I am American and in our traditional soups you don't find many bones. I have run into African and Asian restaurants where it is normal . I ordered the rice noodle with duck soup. Of course there were bones but I expected it and managed fine. The soup was very good, well worth the price. I also had a beef sandwich. The people of Viet Nam apparently make excellent sandwiches. I have never found a V N restaurant where the sandwiches were not great. This sandwich was great. Apparently they love jalapenos and I picked them out of my sandwich so I could enjoy the other flavors. In choosing the soup I had to be very observant. A lot of the soups had either tripe or sinew as an ingredient. The V N people like it. I am not as much of a fan. By picking dishes that I liked I had a very good meal. I watched the prices. The sandwiches were a buck low and the soup a buck high. They balanced and I was happy. One thing the lady did was bring a dish with a few add-ons. One of the things was mint leaves. Nothing brightens your mouth after a meal like real mint leaves. It was a fun touch. All in all it was worth a visit."
