"Came here for dinner on Sunday night and it was BUSY to say the least! Although this is the second time I've tried to eat at this Gloria's, I apparently didn't get the hint by making a reservation beforehand! The whole meal that we had had tasted great, our server was so nice, and we had a good time. The only thing that wasn't good were the drinks. We started off by ordering somemargaritas on the rocks the Spicy Mango and Spicy Pineapple Margaritas. One sip in and my drink was entirely too sweet sowas my friend's. We didn't want to complain but they were just too sweet to drink. Our server was so nice and offered to replacethem. We ended up ordering two Palomas in Moscow. When we tried those drinks we realized that the margaritas weren't a fluke butat that point it was the bartender the Palomas were too sweet as well. Come to find out from our server later, their regularbartenders weren't working that night and the two they had were fill ins. That was a let down. Because I don't like to wastealcohol ????(and our server had kindly said before he brought the Palomas out that we couldn't swap again) I slowly drank mydrink but it took me a while, even after finishing my meal. Besides that, all of our food tasted great. We shared the Pupusasand the Combination Fajitas. The Pupusas were hot and delicious and the slaw was just right. The Fajitas were also really good, the steak cooked just right and both the corn and flour tortillas tasted great. The rice and beans that are usually an afterthought at many other Tex Mex and Latin restaurants were also really good the rice was so flavorful! For dessert we endedeverything out with the Flan (mainly because it's my one and only favorite dessert and I hadn't tried it at Gloria's before),and it was so decadent and creamy! That was one of the best Flan's I've ever had ???? Besides the bad drinks and they were bad the rest of my meal was really good and our server was very attentive and super nice. I will def"

"If you first notice in you that this is not your run of the mill Tex-Mex restaurant. It is very tastefully decorated. It has a very chic and modern decor that distinguishes it from your other places. It is also to be noted, it is not Tex-Mex as well. It's El Salvadorian. When we arrived on a sunny Sunday afternoon, it was busy, but they were not waiting. We were greeted by a friendly hostess. She asked if we prefer inside or in the courtyard. Of course we wanted to take advantage of the beautiful day and decided for the terrace. The terrace is immense. It is easily one of the largest in Fairview. It overlooks a fountain where children walk and play in and also the community gardens of the nearby apartment complex. It is such a beautiful place to spend some time and unwind before you return to work the next day. They bring a basket of crunchy tortilla chips, zesty wicy salsa, and black bean dip. We drove all the basket up and I didn't feel guilty because they were so good. You have $1 mimosas. Do you say... 1 mimosa? They are refreshing during a Sunday brunch. The brunch menu is great. It has all my favorites huevos rancheros, Chilaquiles and Sopes. I chose the chickenpee. It is two handmade corn tortillas with pinto beans, shredded chicken with salad, guacamole, sour cream and queso fresco. I asked for a page of Jalapeños. It was amazing. The Hubby had the Mexican breakfast Burrito. It is filled with rosemary flakes, scrambled eggs, cheddar and bacon. It is served with pint beans and mixed fruits. He was in heaven! Our server was very attentive and checked us several times during our meals. The front of the house manager even came by and asked how food was. This is first-class service. This is a fantastic brunch spot it is relaxing, good food and a fantastic way to finish your weekend. On the way out, I noticed that they have a really big bar area. I think it just expanded. It would be fun to go on Friday or Saturday night."

"Hey!! This is the first episode of Big Schlims Lite Pocket Meals!!! Once a week I'm finding good food that's $10 and under, that's not the norm, and will satisfy your palate POCKETS!!! Aite so I found this spot, on my way to another spot... @glorias_pupuseria !!! I'm glad I stopped...the pink awning caught my eye, it's a bright spot on a block with drab colors. I went in, got my food, and went IN!! So they serve up traditional Salvadorean Mexican foods, so their menu is lengthy. Their menu ranges from Tamales $2), shrimp nachos $13), chili con queso s-$2.50), a grilled Salmon Chimichurri salad $13), to their Tex-Mex chicken taco dinner $12), Enchiladas with your choice of beef, chicken, shrimp or veggie $11-$15), Quesadillas $10-$14), to much much more go peep the menu on Google they're there). This spot was a random eatery I just stepped up in as most of my spots are), so there were many other inexpensive items I would've copped, but due to a slight language barrier poquito espanol) i didn't know they had the other Lite Pocket menu items. Nonetheless I copped their delicious Pupusa's !! I got the pork, veggie, cheese, and chicken and cheese for $10 straight!! It came with a spicy coleslaw, and this sauce that remains nameless until a expert tells me what it was. Y'all, this was a good find, I was full after 1, and a half pieces, and they all hit the spot!! A tad bit greasy, but delicious at the same time, I appreciated this meal. The slaw and sauce were a perfect blend to each pupusa, that slaw which I don't normally like) rounded everything out with a crunch. Customer service was ok...there were a couple divinely looking grandma's in there, side eyeing me, and this place stayed packed with patrons. Know what you want before you get in...look them up, it'll make it easier on you. Parking was metered on $14 St, uptown...so guard ya grill. Go there...I won't stunt your pockets...you'll be full, and satisfied. STAMP!!
