"We started our meal with a bottle of red wine we brought along and some marinated olives. Although they were listed as warm, they arrived hot, delicious, and tender, beautifully seasoned with spices and salt. For our second course, I ordered a mixed greens salad with basil dressing, sweet corn, and tomatoes, while my husband chose the heirloom tomato gazpacho, which was spicy, chilled, and bursting with flavor. I was surprised to see that it was yellow—something I had never encountered before! Our server explained that this was due to the locally grown tomatoes, which naturally come in yellow and green varieties. For the main course, I went for the fish special, which was halibut served on a bed of sweet corn, potatoes, and zucchini, topped with a tomato sauce. The kitchen kindly adjusted the dish for me since I can’t eat dairy. My husband indulged in a Spaghettini Prunesca, a dish he hadn't enjoyed since his time in Europe. He loved it and remarked how uniquely it was prepared, filled with seafood and plenty of herbs. To finish our meal, we chose the house-made sorbets: strawberry, honeydew, and another type of melon. They were simply irresistible, especially given the warm weather. To our delight, our server surprised us with a complimentary glass of port to celebrate our anniversary. Undoubtedly, the warm and friendly service combined with the outstanding food made this experience truly unforgettable. Thank you, Bistro, for having such wonderful staff and creative dishes that excite our taste buds. You made our anniversary a night to remember!"

"Brought my wife for our Anniversary lunch. I run a business nearby and hold lunch meetings in the area very regularly but had never given Jose 's a chance. We ordered combo plates and were recommended to get the mole sauce on 3 of our 6 total items. My wife and I both very much disliked it. We weren 't able to express that to our waiter because he never came back to ask so we started eating the other things on our plate.15-20 minutes later we were able to get our waiters attention to come over and told him we 'd like replacements with red sauce and he I don 't think I can do that, stared at me, then finally said, I 'll have to ask my manager. The Manager comes by, looks at out plates and said, I can 't do that. He said, when you first order, that is difference but (looked at our half eaten plates) I can 't do that now .I explained that the two enchiladas were untouched and the tamale we each took a very small bite of to find out we didn 't like it. He said when I 'm a server, I offer a sample when someone wants to order mole sauce I said your server didn 't do that, instead he recommended it, we don 't like it, and we 'd like food we do like The argument had to continue before he finally, begrudgingly said I will replace the enchiladas, but not the tamale (again 80% of the tamale was there). We dine out very regularly, and are honestly very easy going. Probably return 1 out of 100 times we go out at most and have never seen a response like this. There was a choice to give us what probably cost them $3 and have me include them in my business lunch rotation. Instead, I 'll never be back. Management should be replaced in my humble opinion."
