"Went here for lunch as we wanted something out of the ordinary. I am celiac so I asked the waitress to inquire with the kitchen what they could make gluten free. (Their lunch menu does not specify but their dinner menu does). I ended up ordering their steak sandwich but told her to substitute extra veggies for the bread. When she came towards our table, I saw fries on my plate so was thinking I'd have to send them back but was thrilled when she told me the chef had made them specially gluten free. Now that's going the extra mile! My Mom also enjoyed her lunch sized lasagna."

"Visited Persephone with two friends. The ambiance was great jazzy music playing in the background and candlelight at all tables. Comfortable booth seating, although the wooden chairs not as comfortable. We enjoyed the special starter and bib salads. Food was nicely presented and after the right amount of time. Attentive and friendly service!"

"regularly get the creme brulee and red velvet slices, they are amazing. drip coffee was average or slightly below even. sandwiches are great. service is decent, not a lot of room to sit though, especially for parties of more than 2. there are a lot of plants and almost all of them are for sale."

"The breakfast sandwich and the French toast are awesome. I also don’t know what kind of sausage they serve here, but it is some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s so nice to sit outside in the morning here and enjoy the cool and fresh mountain air and surroundings. My wife loved the coffee and wanted it every morning we were here. Don’t let the line dissuade you from going here. It moves pretty quick. One way to beat the line is to order online and pick up at the to-go/pick-up window. We did that one morning and it worked beautifully. Our order was waiting for us on arrival. It is a little pricey, however, they do seem to deliver a more upscale product, comparatively. We look forward to returning when we are able!"

"My first stop after Union Station was caffeine, of course. There was a protest in the street outside that I found upsetting--some awful homophobic group with literal red flags praying over people--and it meant a lot to come here and see that they were also taken aback and disgusted. The employees were talking quietly about it and I joined them, feeling a lot safer in this strange city with their support. But please do get sugar-free syrups! People with limited carbohydrate intake still deserve a nice coffee sometimes. I wound up with a cold brew with Splenda and it just...wasn't what I came for. A nice sugar-free hazelnut latte would have provided the comforting buzz I was after. But thanks for the caffeine--it kept me going for ten hours around your very walkable city."

"I love this place because I love outlets, floor to ceiling windows (hello natural light! , tasty treats, and all things containing caffeine. The workers are lovely and this is a great place to study (but don 't come here because this is my 'let 's leave the house to study ' spot :P . Personally, I feel guilty hoarding a table for hours so I buy things in increments to avoid being the person who buys a single latte during a six hour study session. I think they need a better system for getting things out to the customers (at least when there are rushes because they have go on a 'who was this for again? ' hunt when it gets busy. Because I an observer to those moments of brief chaos, I find it way more entertaining than whatever I 'm trying to read for my classes. p.s. Not that this matters, but I am not the biggest fan of the name. However, with new owners comes a new name. Craftworks Coffee and the Geometric Rhino logo was way more badass. Maybe a geometric rolling pin? Just irrelevant thoughts that in no way affect how I feel about the magic that takes place inside Sugar Bakery :"
