"This was my first time at Shepards! The place itself is a great resort on the beach, the only problem is that we stayed on a Thursday Night Nov. 10-13th, 2022 and our room service didn’t ever come!! Our garbages were over flowing! We had to find our own bags and things to use for garbages! The rooms themselves are decent! We had a poolside room with a balcony, but keep in mind that there is a 500.00 fee for smoking on the balcony. If you love music and partying it is the place for you! If you like something quieter at night it isn’t for you! You can get a room on the city side for a quieter night time! The pool side has a stage that will play music until 2am and it’s loud! If you have your TV on at night it’s louder than that! So you may need to bring your headphones to sleep if you get a room on the pool/beach side of the hotel! Since we had no room service, we had to ask for more towels, there were 3 of us in the room. With being on a beach vacation we needed more towels because of sand and wet clothes all the time. We even did use our towels a couple times! We had to ask for towels from front desk, since room service never came the whole trip! They sent someone to our room, but it took 30 min. to an hour because they would not give us any at the front desk, they would only deliver them to our room. The beach was gorgeous though, the resort and palm trees were gorgeous, the waiter on the beach (Dave) was an amazing worker and all the staff we ran into were friendly and helpful! The rental place is built into the resort! There you can rent chairs , umbrellas , jet skis and a golf cart! We didn’t have a car so to explore we just used a golf cart from the rental place at the resort and the lady that was running it when we were there, was such a fun, sweet lady and even gave us a discount because we didn’t use our rental chairs for beach one day due to gloomy weather. We asked if we could use the golf cart longer and she worked with us and gave us a huge discount because we didn’t get to use our chairs and umbrella that gloomy day! There are shops in the area you can walk to for for beer , food , shopping souvenirs! There is a Ron Jon’s surf shop not to far from there , which is golf cart distance.. so keep in mind if you love surf shops go there instead of all of the surf style shops! Surf style is good for souvenirs though! It was my first time to a beach and first time in Florida ! We had a blast! The food was great everywhere to! Just wish we could have had at least one night even if room service! We aren’t that picky either ! But as much as you pay it would be nice, just mainly due to sand and wet clothes daily! The drinks are around 8.00 or more.. the Malibu bucket is around 15.00 we loved this option, more bang for your buck! We used beyond the bay transport service to pick us up from airport and take us back! Chris the owner was our driver! Highly recommend! He acts like he has known you forever and makes you feel comfortable! He also has given rides to many famous people! He also is level 2 background screened! He also works with your flight statuses and sends reminders through texts! The whole trip was fun! The live bands are great at Shepards to! the outdoor pool and hot tub are nice! The cleanliness of outside is great! Staff care there! It was a great resort other then no room service! But that could be due to short staffing to? It was a great time!! I would go back to shepards but I would go to front desk and ask if we could get room service every day!!!"
