"Silos Baking and Magnolia in general seem to have a cult following in Waco, so of course I had to come and check them out.There was a line that wrapped around the corner of Silos, but the wait wasn 't unbearable like some of the lines out on the East Coast (cough cough Georgetown Cupcakes cough cough). Probably 10-15 minutes.Coming in, the items on display did look amazing, but I wasn 't too impressed when I took a bite out of them. The cookies were dry and cold. The brownie cookie in particular was difficult to chew on and almost had a tootsie roll consistency. They honestly tasted like a healthier version of each of the cookies, which is not really my cup of tea. The Lemon Lavender cupcake was by far the best of the selections we got, but I personally prefer cupcakes with a little bit more bread for the amount of frosting that was given. I 'd imagine that if these cookies were fresh, I 'd be writing a completely different review. I 'd expect a bakery with as much volume as Silos gets would have fresher products throughout the day. I 'm just a little disappointed especially given all the hype behind Silos."
