"I ordered shrimp rolls, no shrimp. The side of white rice that came with our beef and broccoli was ridiculously small. There was barely any beef in the beef and broccoli. I've never seen wilted green leaves in fried rice before, and I was given 1 soy sauce packet. Completely dissatisfied."

"This was my first time ordering here. I ordered $99 worth of food after the tip. One of the things I ordered was crispy shrimp. It was rock hard. Couldn't bite through it without hurting my teeth. Also ordered stick chicken. It was as tough as gas station beef jerky. I'm a server in an Italian restaurant. I HATE complaining about food and will avoid at all costs. But I spent $99 on Chinese food that I couldn't eat and I needed to say something. My husband called and politely asked if we could get a refund on the inedible portion of the meal we ordered. The manager told my husband that if we wanted better food we should order from a better restaurant and pay $250 for food. He told us we paid for the quality we got. He was hard to understand but what we could understand was incredibly rude. Never in my life has a manager of a restaurant said something like that to me. The employee working the phones was much more kind and polite. They refunded the price of the shrimp for us but not anything else. I will never order from Hunan House again. The food I could eat was bland at best. Very basic. Nothing special. Don't order here"

"Not impressed. Food portions were very small and they use lots of fillers. We got General Tso's shrimp extra spicy. The shrimp had a ton of breading, the sauce was sweet and the broccoli was bad. We ordered shrimp toast and eggs rolls and neither were very good. We ordered Happy Family and it was OK. It didn't come with much sauce and about 1/4 of the container was green peppers. We also got Orange chicken and it was decent. Orange chicken and General Tso's chicken were served in the exact same sauce. The final things we ordered was chicken and broccoli and that was probably the best thing we got from here. Needless to say, I have no desire to go back."

"A friend and I live an hour apart and randomly chose this place to meet, eat, and catch up. I don 't have a single negative thing to say about this restaurant. The customer service was excellent, the food was delicious (I had chicken broccoli combo w/brown sauce, white rice [which was tender and not hard like some places], and a spring roll), and the prices are affordable. Even though everyone 's taste in atmosphere is subjective, I think this place is adorable; it was so comfortable and cozy. I wish I lived closer because I would absolutely become a regular here! Apparently they have a lot of regulars, because I sat near the door and they seemed to know half the people who came in for carry-out while I was there."

"First time visiting because the Chinese food in my area has gone downhill, my first impression is that even if the food was bad, I would come back simply because of how welcoming they are and how I felt like they were excited I came. Coworker had the sesame chicken. He said it was good. I had Mongolian chicken it was good. If they add a little spicy I'd probably say it was great. I'll order something spicy next time I go. Egg rolls tasted nice and fresh and perfectly crispy. No complaints. I already see some stuff I want to try so after a few more trips there I'll update my review to give an overall impression on consistency. Which to me is most important."

"I have been ordering for years but lately food has been an issue. This last time was the last straw and I urge u to check your food. I had my order delivered over $44.00 bucks. I ordered garlic shrimp trying something new and it came with 4 shrimp that tasted very mushy and soft shrimp is usually firm and very over cooked and lots of very large veggies . So I call and ask for a remake or something else since it?s unbearable the lady yells and says no u can?t have anything else. I didn?t ask for a refund I just asked for a remake I was willing to pick up myself . This is really the worst service and food I have had I will go out my way to not visit rice China again !!!!"

"I called my order in and it was repeated back to me correctly. I waited in line and noted the cashier was less than friendly to 2 of the 3 customers in front of me. Also noted he was rude to a customer on the phone. I checked my order before leaving and there was one egg roll missing. When I pointed out to the cashier he said that the special on the wall did not come with an egg roll. However I did not order the special on the wall. I ordered a #C27 that comes with an egg roll. Instead of correcting the error or even apologizing, he said well I gave you the wall combination. It is $1.74 if you want an egg roll. If you acknowledge you did not give me what I ordered, its your mistake. At least an I'm sorry, it was my error... Something to acknowledge your mistake. Advice to #1 Kitchen, while the food was good, customers do not just want good food. Good customer service is expected too. Some employees may need to work back in the kitchen if they do not like dealing with customers and are rude."

"Wow, the reviews here seem to be polarized, but I've eaten here twice and wasn't disappointed either time. Once was a carry out and the other a dine-in so I can't say much for the delivery driver... My Gf and I love this place. The egg roll was easily the best I've ever had; freshly made. The selection was great, and the wait staff was an adorable duo of what I believe were the owners children. The Orange chicken is better than PF Chang's or Panda Express. Give it a shot."

"I visited this restaurant for lunch with my coworkers, and we had a great experience. The server was very friendly and shared that the restaurant is family-owned and has been around since the late 90s, which is evident in the quality of the food and flavors. I ordered the Mongolian beef, along with hot and sour soup and crab rangoons, and everything was delightful! I definitely plan to return."
