"I have never been to Yonkers before, but I may have visited before my Yelp days. Regardless, Lusitania (Portuguese) Restaurant is a hidden gem in the Yonkers community. I completely missed the sign on the front street and only noticed it as I was leaving. I was directed to a side (red) door, which made me feel like something shady was about to happen. Inside, there is a bar on the left and the dining area on the right. The dining room is incredibly small, so much so that you can hear everything that everyone else is saying and your elbow may touch a stranger's. This made me uncomfortable as I value my privacy and am a bit of a germaphobe. The couple next to us seemed to feel the same way since they whispered their order and then remained silent for the rest of the evening, simply exchanging smiles. There were about 8-10 tables in the restaurant. I had heard great things about the food, so I was excited to try it. We ordered the seafood paella, which had more seafood than rice and was absolutely delicious. We also had a steak that was partially cooked on a portable grill, allowing us to finish it to our liking. The highlight of the meal was the variety of sauces that came with the steak, particularly one with garlic and other seasonings that I couldn't get enough of. The house wine was a bit off, but the food was reasonably priced. While I enjoyed the food, it didn't quite meet my expectations. I will give it another try, maybe opting for a lamb dish next time since it looked so good. The end."
