"Order the lasagna family of 4 meals for taking and was pleasantly surprised. It would easily feed 6 adults with large portions (and I am a guy who loves his lasagna! . The Caesar Salat Dressing must be homemade and was delicious. For a person who likes to drown his Caesar salad in the dressing, they definitely gave enough to do this and then some. I'll get enough for at least 2-3 more salads on what we have eaten today. The food also comes with bread and cookies. For $32 this is a steal! What really failed was that the hostess had a 20% discount without me just asking because I picked up. This gesture alone will have me back, especially because I only work a block away. Nice job overall Benvenutos!"

"The lemon pepper is horrible. Most other places have lemon pepper that 's very good. All I can say is you 'd do better going to Capt. Jay 's on 9 Mile and Kelly and get better food and prices.They cook in old grease, food taste nasty. They don 't deserve the name MOTOWN ; as with any place in Detroit they have great food even the hole in the wall places food be good. I 've eaten a lot of places throughout Detroit, yes even gas stations that cook food and it is way better than Motown Fish and Shrimp located on Gratiot just south of Metropolitan Parkway in Clinton Township. Most people in this community don 't know what good food taste like as the culture is different out here so they except what they think is good when in actuality it 's not up to pare. So do yourselves a favor and travel a little further outside your comfort zone to any fish and chicken restaurant location in Detroit or it 's branch locations out in the suburbs and treat yourselves to some delicious great food because Motown Fish and Shrimp is not a place in my opinion to waste your money or taste buds on. Being a foody I know good food and customer service."

"We only started visiting this restaurant this year, and now it's hard to dine anywhere else because we appreciate the quality and cleanliness that Ellie's offers. The Bananas Foster French toast is absolutely incredible! My husband, who typically doesn't eat vegetables, loves their Michigan Salad. The staff is always cleaning when they’re not attending to guests, which is so refreshing. Everyone has also been very friendly."

"Attn: Owner Servers 1. SLOW service, it 's a hole 'n ' pub but drink refills took way too long. And took way too long to get our check. You need to be flipping tables faster to make more for staff and owner 's overhead etc. 2. Server took an assertive aggressive tone when I raised concerns about steak burger but I was cut off. He didn 't want to hear it so I didn 't press him. But it was A) rude B) Disrespect to tell me That 's exactly what you ordered. 3. Steak burger on menu says NOTHING about being covered in *GRAVY*. I 've been to +50 steak houses in my life never seen Steak Soup No one at my table knew that either. Thanks that non sense OFF the menu. 4. It 's a Cardinal *SIN ' to cover ANY good cut of beef let alone steak with ketchup or A1 sauce. Drowning it in GRAVY is something Chef Ramsey would rearrange your shirt and pepper you insults for serving such nonsense. And the gravy was terrible, loaded with salt clearly from a jar/can! Yuck! 5. Put a clear description in the menu and people can avoid Steak Soup or put black piece of tape through it. It 's Cardinal sin to put anything on good cut of beef let alone steak."
