After eight long years in South Florida, I finally discovered a place that serves authentic Buffalo wings on par with many in Buffalo. Enter Wings Plus, located in a strip mall in Oakland Park off Andrews Avenue. I had been eyeing this place for a few months and decided to treat myself to 25 wings last night—extra crispy and well-done, with half hot Buffalo and half Key West style.
Wings Plus offers an impressive array of flavors. The wings are outstanding—far superior to any other place in South Florida, except perhaps Casa di Pizza in Bradenton. They are cooked to perfection and served with their house-made bleu cheese, which is exceptional. The wings are massive and meaty, not the skinny, anemic wings you typically find elsewhere. The Key West flavor is a must-try—absolutely delicious!
From now on, this will be my go-to wing spot. By the way, Wings Plus has been voted Best in South Florida by the people year after year. I would gladly drive 30 to 45 minutes just to enjoy their wings. That says a lot coming from a true Buffalonian who grew up indulging in Buffalo’s greatest culinary invention. Go Bills!"
