"I’m from the Midwest, so I’m judging by my experience from home and expecting this place to be slightly worse it absolutely wasn’t!I first noticed peanuts on every table with an empty for shells (I hate the peanut shells on the floor thing. Delightful! Tables had “pizza joint” red and white checkered waterproof covers with paper on top. Music was 70’s rock and a reasonable volume. I prefer a more European environment, but this felt like home.I ordered French Onion Soup and a medium rare ribeye steak with garlic mashed potatoes. The soup came first with homemade dinner rolls and homemade cinnamon butter. When I was halfway done with the soup, the food arrived. Very quick service from waitress and kitchen. Granted, the place was about 1/4 full, but I was still impressed.Soup: almost the best I’ve ever had!Rolls: very goodSteak: excellent! It was more on the medium side, but the whole piece had plenty of fat and meat and was fork tender.Potatoes: I was initially disappointed because there were no skins and well mashed. I was concerned they weren’t homemade by appearance, but they were very delightfully garlicky. I love garlic, and they were perfect.I’m not big on alcohol reviews, but I did notice some more midwestern beers, including Goose Island on tap. I stuck with water because I was dehydrated.Price: $30 inc. tax, not tip.In short: great food, good atmosphere, rapid service in the dining room and kitchen. Reasonably priced (even by midwestern standards . 9.5/10Parking: Strip mall, most businesses closed while I was visiting. I parked at the door."

"Good Restaurant with Reservations. Overall a pretty good restaurant but with some reservat ions. It's a fun place to go but not for someone looking for a quite dining experience. Place is always crowded and they pack in probably 50% more customers than the place was designed for. Food is generally fairly good but a little bland and overcooked, I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with hot sauce. Not even the least bit spicy and overcooked. I ordered the chicken after my first choice was one of the specials, Beef Battered Grouper Sandwich. Out of one of the specials ... at it was only 5:00 pm. Poor planning at best. Everyone else can out a little better with the exception of a medium rare steak was closer to medium well to well done. Wait staff is friendly but overworked and prone to making mistakes on orders. That said, they are very quick to rectify any problems without questions and they do try very hard to provide the best service they can. Portions are hugh and the value is very good. The atmosphere is like what Longhorn or Texas Steak House used to do where they served peanuts on the table and you were expected to throw the shells on the floor. Overall, it's a pretty good place to go if you are careful in what you order. Don't order items like Chicken which can be easily overcooked, particulary if fried. Be prepared for a noisy crowded place but it's a place where everone is having fun. By the way, the onion rings as an appetizer are fantastic. They've got that one nailed."
