"I recently had the pleasure of visiting Reza for the second time, and I must say, the owners are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely passionate about their food. The restaurant itself is impeccably clean, and the dishes are not only fresh and tasty but also innovative. In my opinion, it offers the best Persian cuisine in Houston and some of the finest food in the city as a whole.
I tried the mint lemonade, and it was absolutely delightful. Before I even placed my order, I was treated to a lovely flatbread sprinkled with black sesame seeds and a complimentary salad plate featuring Thai basil, mint, parsley, cucumbers, and feta cheese. As shown in the photo, they generously start the meal with this fresh bread and salad.
Though I enjoyed the refreshing salad, I decided to go for the full plate, which included even more of the same, plus tomatoes and walnuts. The kebabs were full of flavor and remarkably tender. The fluffy Basmati rice, adorned with cranberries, candied pistachios, and mangoes, was a perfect match. The tabbouleh was zesty with a hint of lemon juice. The chicken was so tender that I initially assumed it had been marinated in yogurt, but when I inquired, the owner assured me it hadn’t. He explained that they only use the freshest halal chicken available and never serve leftovers. He was evidently proud of his chicken, and rightly so."
