"Ordered delivery from here through GrubHub on 3 occasions. The first time, my food came more than 45min late and GrubHub offered to refund me. The 2nd time, the delivery driver assigned to my order declined it and I received a message that the order had been cancelled. Today I decided to give the restaurant a 3rd try, with the hopes that I can finally try their sushi. My food arrived but smelled HORRIBLY of cigarette smoke. It was the most disgusting experience. I sent GrubHub a message they refunded me. Then- several hours later, I received a text on my personal cellphone from ‘Brian from Wasabi’ (I’m assuming this is the owner with pictures of my order and a long text telling me off and telling me that the “restaurant isn’t for me.” So, here I am trying to support local businesses I have a wacko owner texting my personal cell, harassing me. Completely disgusted by the lack of customer service here and quality of food!!! Do not support this place!!"

"I have tried sushi from various places in Southern California, including the markets in Los Angeles and San Diego. Kishi is, without a doubt, the best sushi bar in terms of quality in the region. While the atmosphere could be improved, the food is exceptional and the fish is fresh and prepared on site daily. Kishi was the first sushi restaurant in the Inland Empire, established in 1981. I always go to Kishi for its delicious food and high quality, and my expectations are consistently exceeded."

"Literally the best sushi spot that’s kind of a hidden gem in Oceanside as I hadn’t heard of it only due to it being tucked away off Oceanside blvd very close to the Frazier Farms before the I-5 fwy entrance. With a better location this place would definitely be consistently over-crowded with people as the food and service is if top notch quality. I’d recommend trying this spot over most other sushi places in the local area especially if looking for a nice quiet restaurant to eat at with exceptional service. Try it out for sure"

"I forgot to take the photos of the curry chicken katsu and special combo that has unagi don and hot soba. They were good, but not great. I thought the curry was the curry you can buy at the Asian grocery store, SB brand. The chicken katsu was normal, fried with the tempura batter. The unagi over the rice was usual, just an eel with a sweet sauce smothered under. The soba was probably the best because the soup base was not too salty, like in most other places. I could actually taste the flavor of the stock. The dining room was clean. But the servers were talking loudly in Japanese, which I thought was a bit odd in a Japanese restaurant. They normally whisper when customers are eating. The restaurant is located on the third floor. There is no validated parking. This place is just average for me."

"Food was good and our Server was really great. Unfortunately we didn’t have a very good service experience. We put in orders on the tablet they had in the table only to find out 20 mins later that none of the orders were going in because the tablet wasn’t working. Prior to having our server come to our table, I tried to get the attention of 2 other girls and were ignored. Another time I tried was when another worker was running food to another table, tried to ask her about the tablet and was told to ask my server. Last attempt was when I saw 2 employees standing and talking by what looked like a server area and one of the girls just pointed to our server who was taking care of other tables. When we were able to finally put our order in, some of it never came out. It seemed like our server was the only one working. I saw our server helping other tables which is why I was trying to get other employees attention. Turns out these girls were just runners and not servers? I guess they’re just there to do one job and not actually help customers beyond that. All we wanted to know was whether or not our tablet was working. The 2 star service was not for our server who was actually really great. It’s for the rest of the staff who just stood around and didn’t help her. Even the guys who were at the sushi bar didn’t seem to care. The manager sent the lead server instead of coming to talk to us when we asked for him. He didn’t seem to care either. Just for the record we weren’t trying to get anything off our bill, we just wanted to tell him that maybe the people he hired should actually work, and not just chit chat."

"Truly fine food served in a very professional manner at an historic setting. A walk through the grounds and seeing the historical pictures are a must. When we entered the Garden Patio there was a smoke from a decorative fire that was taken care of when we commented as we were seated. The food served was perfectly created and each of four different requests were thoroughly enjoyed."

"Fuji Sushi is the best sushi restaurant in Lafayette, LA. It’s rated highest by Facebook's Foodies of Lafayette. They follow the traditional roots of sushi—the formality of it all. Warm towels are provided upon arrival and again after dinner. It’s a small place that allows so much attention to detail. Ginger is amazing as front of house hostess and server—if she’s seen you once, she will remember you and what you like to drink. Miso soup is complimentary, as well as the beautiful oranges afterward. Tik is the sushi chef and creates beautiful rolls and plating. Check out their love boat! Wow. Every time we visit, it’s as if we were invited to their home for dinner. It’s a hidden gem in Lafayette, and it’s fantastic."

"We tried this restaurant on Saturday, assuming it was like other buffet restaurants. But surprisingly, NOT AT ALL! We ordered everything we liked and every dish was made on spot. "I had a great experience at the restaurant, and the food was delicious. Tonight, I ordered shrimp tempura, which was advertised as eight pieces for $8.95. However, when my order arrived, there were only five pieces. I mentioned this to the server, and she told me it was a "mistake in pressure" and that the dish actually only comes with five pieces. She didn’t offer to correct the mistake or make it right but instead told me that at other restaurants, they often serve even fewer—pointing out that I was lucky to get five. I felt that this was a poor excuse, especially given that I spent $70 on three regular rolls and a bowl of udon. Where has customer service gone these days?"

"Really solid spot for a sort of, middle-high-end sushi experience. I got the lunch omakase which was in the ~70 range. Old fashioned vibe, a few japanese business men in there, and that's it. Fish was very nice, clearly real deal sushi (no philly rolls lol), but maybe not mind blowing. Mostly I enjoyed how laid back it was compared to those super place you normally associate with omakase. "Came here for the first time in a party of 7 on a Sunday night. It's conveniently located right by our friend's apartment so we just walked over. Restaurant is very clean with ample table seating and a small sushi bar area. We were greeted by the manager, Tony (I think thats his name), and his staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the AYCE sushi and a few alcoholic beverages. Tony was so attentive and helped us with our order. The AYCE isn't advertised anywhere on the regular menu, but once we asked about it, he brought out a different menu sheet for us to order from. The options for AYCE is MUCH larger than most of the other sushi restaurants I've been to! They even allow 1 round of sashimi! I was also happy to see that they have a section of rolls that do not include rice! Instead, they use cucumbers or soy paper to wrap the rolls! OMG I was in heaven!!! The rest of my party ordered mostly rice rolls, some hand rolls and other appetizers as well. We were so full! The quality of the fish here is very good and fresh! I love finding little hidden gems like this place! The manager even gave us a couple of free rounds of sake and also a discount for paying in cash! Since our friends live so close by and we visit often, I'm pretty certain we will be back again!"
