"We celebrated our Wedding Anniversary at Simms because it is nearby and has beautiful views of the city. Everything went well until they delivered our steaks and sides in a very lukewarm state. Normally filet mignon is delivered while sizzling hot. Not so on this night. In the restaurant's defense, they were quite busy at and may be understaffed since the covid shutdowns. Our server explained that they were expecting people that Saturday night, this could explain the problem"

"If you find yourself in Leadville, Colorado at lunchtime and looking for a place to eat, The Tennessee Pass is a fantastic choice. The restaurant has a nostalgic atmosphere with original decor from the past. The service is top-notch, with friendly staff like Nicole helping with orders. I tried the Reuben and Turkey, Bacon, and Avocado sandwiches with a side of Sweet Potato Fries, all of which were delicious and generous in portion size. If you are in Leadville for lunch, The Tennessee Pass is the place to go."

"We arrived for a couple of drinks on the patio around 1:30 PM on a Sunday. The interior was empty, and there were three other parties already seated outside. After being shown to our table by the hostess, who left us with empty water glasses, we noticed two of the other tables leaving and saw the hostess check on the remaining table twice. Unfortunately, we received no acknowledgment of our presence aside from being seated. After waiting 10 minutes without water or any attention, we decided to leave. I would rather spend my money elsewhere."

"I absolutely loved the relaxed and open atmosphere of the restaurant. It foreshadowed the attention to detail that would be put into our meal. We started with the Salmorejo Burrata and Portuguese Bacalao Potato Cakes from the Tasting Plates menu. The potato cakes, which were actually balls, were bursting with flavor. Surprisingly, the Salmorejo Burrata paired perfectly with the Colorado Trout, the restaurant's signature dish. Our side of Sauteed Broccolini was cooked to perfection. The Caesar Salad was a unique twist, with a sardine on top of the lettuce bedded on hollandaise sauce with plum tomatoes and croutons - and it actually worked! To top it off, the Spiced Chocolate Ice Cream dessert was a delightful end to our meal."
