"This was such a disappointment, and absolutely should not be confused with the excellent Kobe Steak House of Japan, a well run chain. Service was _slow_ and inconsistent. Our chef was personable, but not especially interactive or entertaining, like most hibachi chefs I 've ever encountered. Our waitress took forever to come and forever to return. There are the required vent fans over each table, but half the chefs did not turn them on making the place smoky and unbelievably hot. It 's September, in Missouri, you can 't cut the a/c, have several hibachi tables in use and be surprised when your customers are sweating. The food: the salad has yum-yum sauce for dressing and tastes like nothing, my husband requested ginger dressing after one bite and the waitress looked at him like he had just sprouted a second head, but she brought some and it was much better. Dinner portions were generous, but not awesome at all. The rice and noodles tasted very off, like the the hibachi wasn 't clean (or not rinsed? , or perhaps the soy sauce or teriyaki or oil was old. The fried rice was vastly improved with a generous amount of yum-yum sauce. Vegetables were ok, with more sauce, but were uneven because despite some pieces being much larger than others they all cooked together so big pieces of carrot were raw in the center and hard. I had the shrimp, which were perfectly cooked, not reduced to rubber, which was great, but either ginger or yum-yum sauce are are important additions. My husband had shrimp and pork, which he said was good. All in all, underwhelming and sweaty experience for the prices which seemed pretty high. We were grateful to get to our car and blast the a/c."
