"I hadn't visited this place in a few years, but since I'm in the area for the holidays, I decided to stop by. Unfortunately, it seems like the restaurant has declined. The waitress was friendly, but the floors were sticky, the tea tasted stale, and the booths appeared worn-out. I used to really enjoy Caliente, but what happened?"

"Authentic Mexican Comida. Incredibly friendly staff; the owner and his crew are great. The food is amazing! My favourite is the Chilaquiles for breakfast with a few extra eggs over the top. They make their Tortillas TO ORDER on one of two machines that they picked up from Mexico. The taste is incredible. Always fresh! Their beans are the best I had... they use Peruvian beans for their retried beans and the taste is amazing. Definitely worth a try, you will not likely be disappointed. They also do catering and I can't wait to plan a party and try their off-site service. This Gringo approves!"

"I really enjoy weekends, especially when many family-run Mexican restaurants offer their specials. Don’t be deceived by the exterior; once you step inside, it’s clean and welcoming. "NOT what it used to be. I used to be in the neighborhood a lot about ten years ago and used to stop in regularly. I understand there are new owners. I stopped in at 1:30 on a Thursday, so a bit after the lunch rush. Place was dirty and appeared to be two employees. The only menu was a placemat with the menu in front of the register... this would have made it hard for me to decide what I wanted IF there had been someone else at the counter. The woman behind the counter asked Are you hear for the meeting? I asked, what meeting? and she looked nervous and said, never mind. This sounded like code for... are you here to pick up your drugs or something. Keep in mind... the place was EMPTY except for me... so again.. what was she asking? I almost left at that point. I ordered the 2 PC Chicken dinner. They did not have ANY Diet drinks... no body wants them so I guess I am no body . I sat and waited for my food. I brought a Diet Pepsi in from my car. Sitting I noticed how neglected the place was. There are only three small tables to sit in an area that could easily have held 12 tables. Maybe they dont want to make a place too loiter. The gum ball machine was empty and dirty. Old photos of the area were faded or damaged and there were photos of the OLD owners race cars still up on the walls. My food came... and it was hot, but appeared to be Chicken from earlier that had been dropped back into the fryer to heat it up. Lots of Fries and a handful of catsup packets. A small plastic cup of not very good Cole slaw as included. 8 bucks for two pieces of over cooked chicken and a bunch of fries... and a less than clean place to sit and eat... Nope, I will not be returning. And again, what meeting and what else might you be selling?"

"The owner of Jose's is very rude! For a family that proclaims to be Christian they definitely do not show the love of God!! I questioned an accidental overcharge by our waiter, the owner was very hostile and disrespectful to me. I forgive you and pray that you find the love of God in your heart once again. I would not recommend giving such an uncivil business your hard earned dollar."
