Normally we'd sit at the bar but with that area full, the host gladly seated us in the dining room — not a shred of worry. "Beautiful Art Deco setting with a view of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. Outstanding bread small, crusty, warm baguettes. Onion soup, green salad, Wiener Schnitzel (Thursday special), Steak, and apple tart were all first rate. Glasses of wine were small and expensive. Service was attentive without being intrusive. It is a pity that it is scheduled to close in 2020, since it provide one of the better dining experiences available in NYC."
