"Ordered through the drive through. Workers were more interested in goofing around than in working. Ordered a combo plus an additional order of curds. Only got sandwich and curds but was charged for Combo. When I went in to ask for the correction I was given a lot of attitude, spoken to very disrespectfully and in general treated like it was my fault for ordering wrong.It’s not hard people, listen to the orders and treat people with respect, if a mistake happens, admit it and fix it without attitude."

"The American Classic!!! A&W and the only one in town, Location is very easy to find, across the street from the High School and in the same Plaza as Smith's. Plenty of Parking, even during lunch time, Drive Thru looked swamped and can tale several minutesof waiting! I decided to Dine-In, the place overall is pretty clean, The staff are very friendly and y hablar espanol tambien! Ihaven't been to an A&W in years, and I arrived here, hungry and craving a full decent meal, complete with a Large Classic RootBeer Float!! I also ordered a Spicy Double or Papa with Chili Cheese Fries, The Float was made like if it was in a commercial!after you order and take a seat, The ladies remembered my order and when it was done they served it right to me!!! I enjoydrinking the Root Beer First before eating the Vanilla Ice cream, the staff noticed and they come around and ask you if you wantmore Root Beer!!! On the house!!! Prices are decent and respectable for American Fast Food, I couldnt eat it all I was sosatisfied and stuffed! I walked out Content and smiling, a great experience for Dine-In! Word of advice, Drive Thru can takeawhile so be prepared for a wait! Otherwise I will visiting again as this is my favorite place for a geniune A&W Root BeerFloat!!! "The food was awful. It tasted like it had been fried in old oil. The service was just as disappointing. I specifically ordered something that was supposed to be filled correctly, but it wasn't. I even ordered a "helicopter" (perhaps a drink or dish name), and it was nowhere to be found. I won't be returning."

"It is sad that the only way to get A&W root beer with sugar rather then corn syrup is to pony up to an actual A&W brick and mortar! A friend turned me onto this tip, for whom I will pick up a gallon of the stuff as a thoughtful gesture whenever I pass by it is convenient and they are in town. One can also get a gallon of calorie free root beer! The gallon comes in a bag with handle and turn top seal.Their burger deals are the same as if you rode up to McDonald 's next door or across the street. While you can order in advance similar to McD 's, it does not seem you can park in a designated spot in the lot where your items will be delivered to you. The convenience of this at McD 's unlike even a Burger King is not to be underestimated. Not only can you wait in the comfort of your vehicle: you are not having to wait in line with the riff raff who simply nonchalantly drove up to the outdoor menu and transceiver and placed their order in real time: now, despite ordering in advance through the A&W app, you are now five cars deep as orders are handed to one in the car at the window serially...I do like their basic cheeseburger more than McD 's: like Burger King, A&W, theirs has a lovely char, more natural than BK. But the pricing among the three outlets for their normal sized burgers is very very similar. The closest BK to the A&W McD 's pairing is north off of 101, about 5 10 minutes away.I tend to go to BK: their deals and point system works for me. Wednesdays you can get a regular Whopper for $3!!!The A&W fries are the best of the three: they have a texture between BK and McD 's. When McD 's fries are fresh they are amazing: rarely fresh or cooked properly however... BK simply charged too much for their fries. But, you can get an offer which drops the price down significantly. But you can only use one offer per order or day.About that:I disagree: you cannot use both an offer and use your accrued points. That is just wrong! Maybe it is a limitation of the ordering or computer system. But it is too evil to not make it so.What I love the most about A&W it seems like a family owned business, everyone seems happy to be working there. No corporate BS or feeing one is working for The Man. That alone should convince you to consider A&W even though their pricing seems to be a bit higher than either McD 's or Birger King. I have heard that some SF Bay Area BK outlets will be shuttered. I don 't know if the one near Ignacio is at risk. However, I cannot even imagine how any fast food drive up outlet survives... the miners just don 't make sense to me.The bottom line for the mega corporate companies must be another angle than selling burgers fries and shakes except, of course: In n Out seems to be crowded the entire time they are open...‍Our A&W has an antiquated look and fee clearly from decades of service. The patina in the form of grit and hand polished surfaces gives it a consistency unattainable by any McD 's worthIt 's muster. BK just looks worn down wherever you find 'em.Getting back to the staff at each:A&W: nice friendly working hard to serve you a delicious meal; orange colored t shirts.McD 's: the professionalism and and the uniform and tightness uniformity is sharp and makes you feel special in a different way.BK: no pride in their situation; no sense they represent something bigger than the local owner 's situation. Nice enough, the staff has little perspective they represent a huge corporate brand.Offers and a specials:BK: Sometimes an offer is not available at s given BK: the app does not know the difference until well after you have selected the store location. The Wednesday Whopper deal cannot be beaten.McD: Consistent. I always pick one deal or use my points for free stuff. Suggestions in the app are brilliant. "I've seen A&W's before but pretty rarely so on our journey southward decided to give it a shot! Location is a stop right off 79 with integrated gas station so quite convenient. Service was quick and the fresh root beer tap was pretty cool and I liked the root beer a lot. I'm usually a Diet Coke drinker so it was pretty sweet with the real cane sugar but also really good. Didn't personally eat the burger but the one who did enjoyed it a lot. I thought the chicken tenders were really good and juicy, very crispy and tasted hot out of the fryer. Fries a bit under seasoned but still crispy and hot. Restaurant was clean and well-kept and employees were helpful and quick too. I'd stop again, pretty happy we chose to stop here over the Classic Three"

"The root beer and the food brought back many wonderful memories. However, every table was dirty, and there was debris on the tables, seats, and floor. After I asked someone for assistance, one of the staff members came out to wipe down the tables and seats. In the meantime, I grabbed some napkins to clean off the wet seat so we could sit down, but to my surprise, the napkin turned black! Even after the staff member had cleaned the seats, they still left a mark. Yikes! So much for creating new memories!"

"I ordered my meal and was asked to pull around front, after 15 minutes the person working the drive through window came out and handed me my food. I checked the bag and noticed that I did not have any fries only the burger. I went inside and all of the employee's could care less that a customer was waiting at the counter. When I told the employee that I had been waiting for over 15 minutes and that there were no fries she did not acknowledge what I said or apologized just grabbed the fries and handed them to me. The worst service I have ever had at this location. Not sure if there was a manager or supervisor on site but sure did not look like it. All of the employees looked and acted very unprofessional."

"Ordered a mac and cheese bowl corn dog nuggets. I was told they would take over 5 minutes to cook nuggets and was parked out front. When my food was brought out I asked if everything was there including the ketchup and the guy pretty much just threw the bag at me and walked off so I headed back to the hotel only to find out pretty much everything about my order was wrong. Wrong meal no silverware to eat a mac and cheese bowl. I asked for ketchup when I ordered yet there was no ketchup, utensils or napkins. I called and asked for a manager. The guy on the phone would not transfer me to a manager simply said they 'd write my name down and just hand out food the next time I came in. I asked for a manager again once again he said all we can do is write down your name they were not interested in solving the problem just getting me off the phone. Your manager was never reached as requested. Horrible customer service!! This turned out to be one of the worst experiences I 've ever had recently and if you look at my reviews and I do a lot of them this would be clearly near the very bottom people acting like they are too busy and wanted to be everywhere but serving customers. I 'll be loud about this one for a while."

"I visited the restaurant around lunchtime and found it closed at 11:39, despite a line of five cars waiting. I ordered just a burger without any meal. The service was incredibly slow, even for the lunchtime rush. After making my payment at the window, I was instructed to move forward and wait for my burger. I finally received it at 11:57. The burger itself was quite good—hot and flavorful—but it was essentially what you'd expect from any fast food joint for the price of $7.50. Honestly, I'd prefer to go somewhere else to avoid such a long wait. Proceed at your own risk."

"That was the worst food ive had in a while i real dont under how this place is open. Even the fresh soda was flat and nasty. Ever we got from there was gross, our chili cheese fries has prob a half pound of gross melted cheese and maaaaybe a tablespoon of chili. The burger was rubbery and the chicken tenders were so inedible my 2 year old refused them. I didnt even feed the burger patty to my dubs just threw it out in dis and angui I spent that much money on food that seemed like it was bought from the Sonic up the street (which is not a good sonic by the way) and put in a different bag"
