"I brought my girl up to Margaretville for her birthday. I wanted to find the finest restaurants to take her during our trip. I saw the high ratings and away we went to Trattoria Locale. The food was impeccable. My girl said she would remember those meatballs forever. I had the HOMEMADE fettucine with pesto, grilled chicken, blistered tomatoes and toasted pine nuts topped with grated ricotta. It was exactly what my Long Island spoiled stomach needed to finish our trip off... the chef, Darryl is a kind and very talented man. He makes a DAMN GREAT sauce, better than most places I've eaten at and that's saying a LOT considered I've spent most of my life eating sauce. I honestly wish I were staying up there longer so I could try more of his menu, but I think it's safe to say it doesn't get any better than Trattoria Locale and one of the best chefs I've had the privilege of dining at their restaurant. Thank you again, Darryl. Next time we come up, we WILL be back!"
