"We visited Thurns as part of a meat lovers tour, and it turned out to be my favorite stop among the four we visited! We got a behind-the-scenes tour where we saw how sausages are made and even checked out the smoker. The owner gets up twice a night to tend to it—it's truly a labor of love. We had the chance to sample a variety of their meats. They're known for their ham salad, which is fantastic, but I also tried dishes I never thought I would enjoy, like beef tongue and blood head cheese, and both were surprisingly delicious! I will definitely be returning!"
