"When we arrived at 7 PM, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all, though it did get a bit busier as we were leaving. My issues began when we requested a table outside. There were no outdoor tables available at the moment, but I asked if we could move to one once it opened up. The hostess said that would be up to the server. I was willing to wait, but instead, we were seated as far from the outdoor area as possible, right next to the stage. Within just two minutes, an outdoor table became available, and I asked our waiter about moving. He needed to confirm with the hostess, but we did eventually change tables. We ordered two appetizers along with our main courses, and I also got an additional salad. Unfortunately, all the food arrived at the same time, so while we started on our starters, our main courses sat untouched. I ordered ribs, and while they had a good flavor and were tender, they certainly did not fall off the bone and were extremely dry—evident both by their appearance and experience while eating. I requested extra napkins (you know, for the ribs), and after more than five minutes of watching our waiter attend to other tasks like restocking the bar, I had to ask again for the napkins, in addition to having him refill my water, which was empty when I first requested the napkins. I’ve never been impressed with the service at Blackstones, but I’ve tolerated it for the food. However, cold and dry food will not bring me back. Additionally, I noticed that the menu price for a full rack of ribs was $27, but we were charged $29. I’m aware that prices may have increased, but this should have been communicated. Lastly, I’d advise against ordering the overpriced BBQ deviled eggs; there was nothing special or BBQ-flavored about them—they were just regular deviled eggs. The description on the menu implies they are something unique, which led us to have higher expectations."
