"Was there waiting for someone. Wanted to get some hot soup, ordered the lentil, bowl size. Clueless girl said she wasn't sure if they had lentil, though it was clearly stated on the board: lentil, tomato soup and chicken noodle. She had to ask the guy in the back (probably manager). They had lentil. Then she asks me what size, 16 oz or 32 oz? I look at the sign: Bowl was $5.50, cup was $3.50. I said the bowl. She was confused. I said whatever the sign said I'll get the bowl, which didn't say the size. She had to ask the guy in the back again. Bowl. So she rings me up and it's... $9.80 (w/ tax)! But the sign says, $5.50 for the bowl, not $9.80, I told her and pulled out the sign to point to it. Clueless girl goes in the back, meanwhile I see another sign behind her that that says: Special: soup with american grilled cheese sandwich: $9! The girl and the surly manager comes back. It's $9 for a bowl, surly manager says; but I told him this sign says, $5.50 for the bowl, not $9. Is this sign wrong? It's old he said. Ok, if I'm gonna pay the $9 I might as well get the soup and the grilled cheese sandwich special. And I told him you need to fix your signs, get it right. He gave me more attitude grumbled more whether I wanted tomato or lentil. Lentil I said. Then he stomps back to the kitchen. Part of running a cafe or any eatery is customer service. Clueless girl and surly angry manager is not customer service; it's customer AWFUL. But if there's a good thing in this, the lentil soup was hot and good and so was the excellent grilled cheese sandwich. Hope he didn't spit on my food."

"This was our first time trying this establishment. I want to start by saying the inside is done really well and looks very nice. The first ding off was them not having a gluten free menu or having anything notated on the menu on what their options would be. When I asked about the gluten free menu, there was an employee up the front that mentioned the establishment believing in indulgences and them using butter because of that. Yeah, no. I stated that butter didn't have gluten and I had to avoid options that had wheat. The gentleman was dressed as a manager but I can't be for certain- either way, it's 2023- an establishment that serves food should be more than able to at least notate what is available or not as an option for people with allergies. Our waitress was extremely nice, which was great! My husband and son had the Thai shrimp as an appetizer and said that it was very good and some of the best that they have had. My son ordered the filet mignon medium well (I know, that's crazy lol) and he said it was very good but his broccoli wasn't very warm. My husband ordered the club- I can't remember the actual name. The club was mediocre and the bread was really hard on 80% of the sandwich. The fries were fried well and had a good taste. I ordered veggie kabobs. At first they brought me chicken kabobs- which I said that I didn't mind eating as long as the chicken marinade was gluten free. The kabobs they initially brought out looked perfect and had a great sear on them. They stated that the marinade was indeed gluten free but they had already started on my veggie kabobs- ok, no worries, things happen. The veggie kabobs came out and I'm pretty sure because they cooked them on the fly- they rushed taking them off the grill. They really didn't have too much of sear on them. Either way they tasted fine for me as I love veggies in any state and the sauces that I picked were great. My broccoli that came with was also not very hot. All in all- it's a fine place to go if you want something different but not on my top ten."

"**Margherita Flatbread - $12.00**: This dish is overpriced. It did not contain oven-roasted tomatoes, and the mozzarella was low quality—bland and rubbery in texture. The balsamic glaze was unexpectedly sweet, and the breadcrumb topping sprinkled with parmesan was questionable. Maybe there was some fresh basil, but the crust, surprisingly, was good—crispy and flavorful, which is rare to find in flatbread. **Fish and Chips - $29.00**: This is way too overpriced. It was only a slight improvement over a Long John Silver's frozen meal, albeit in a larger portion. The fries were hot and retained their crispness. **Seared Barramundi - $30.00**: The dish came with herb-roasted potatoes, broccolini, and a beurre blanc sauce that needed better quality butter. There was too much white vinegar, and it was suspect that there was no wine in the sauce, as it lacked color; it should have had a hint of yellow from the butter and scallions (and shallots). Unfortunately, the sauce resembled a white emulsified oil with a touch of acid. While it had a nice texture, it lacked the essential flavor. The fish was good, and the potatoes were nicely seasoned (though they should have been roasted rather than steamed), and the broccolini was perfect. We really wanted to enjoy our meal, and the long drive definitely increased our hunger. However, it’s better to rely on flavorful dishes than luck next time. Thank you for reading. Respectfully."
