"I have lived in Ventura for quite a while now and I'm glad that this deli exists! I grew up in LA and I miss seeing similar delis like these in various areas especially in the Westside and San Fernando Valley. It's rare to find a good deli in Ventura Oxnard Port Hueneme. I really appreciate the decor, personability and extensive menu options that this deli provides. Even as I placed my order, Mike (the manager was talking with me. Within a matter of minutes, my order was ready to go! They are on point! And their dessert options... OMG! So many!!! Definitely check these guys out when you have a chance! And... Mike is super awesome. Great person and... so is the rest of the amazing team that works there (who I saw there at least . They are very kind, sincere and know how to do things right : I am so glad that these guys have been able to survive these past few years. Seems like these guys are a local institution. That's a really big deal! Keep up the great work you guys!"

"When we requested our check, I noticed we were still charged for the chocolate milk. I inquired about it, and the waitress went to consult with the person at the register. Upon her return, she informed us that it wasn’t their fault my son didn’t like it, and we still needed to pay for it. I then spoke with the manager, who reiterated the same point, saying, “It’s not our fault your son didn’t like our chocolate milk.” As someone who works in the restaurant industry along with my husband and friend, this was the first time we’ve been charged for something we didn’t like. It was quite disappointing. It’s not just about the $1.75; it’s about customer service and principles. Additionally, while the total came to a certain amount, I noticed an extra $2 charge when I paid, with no explanation given. "

"This is one of the best shell gas stations I have been too food wise. The chicken is spicy and has the best jojo's. The staff can be a bit stale but they get the job done and help you fast. It's small and pretty easy to locate. If you are coming here for food I would recommend 10/10."

"After an injury left my body quite defeated and loss of appetite, I recovered. One of my first cravings was for a pastrami sandwich. Not wanting to go to NYC to the traditional tourist traps, i decided to research, best pastrami sandwich in NJ. To my surprise I found a couple of places that were highly rated. One seemed ridiculously over priced. Pastrami and Pickles was an hour away from my home but, I trusted the recent reviews and the pictures I saw. So, I took a ride, still recovering but hungry for my first meal outside hospital food.I'm so happy to have made the trip. So many food options, so many great specials listed, I stuck to my plan and cravings and ordered their Pastrami and corned beef sandwich. Impressive freshness, very personal and attentive service. Fantastic staff and reasonable pricing. It was one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had. Looking forward to going back and I've already raved about it to all my friends. If you are craving delicious, homemade, creative foods, you must make the trip."
