"I haven 't been to this location in a very very long time (like 5-10 years ago), and a friend was in town and we decided to go to Kabuki because it was close to other destinations we had this evening. Restaurant was fairly busy for a Friday evening, which was expected, and our wait time was minimal. Ordered pork belly appetizer (not pictured), and it was AMAZING. It comes out on a fajita style rectangular cast iron dish so it was still sizzling/cooking at the table. My friend and I really enjoyed the char marks and tenderness it had. Sushi roll order included Cilantro Albacore, Grilled Shrimp Roll, Lotus on Fire, Salmon roll, and BSCR. She really enjoyed the Cilantro Albacore because it was the fresh flavor she needed on this hot, humid day. I was amazed at how generous the salmon roll was and really loved that one. Lotus on Fire reminds me of a popular roll at another well known establishment. While the Grilled Shrimp Roll and BSCR (baked scallop Cali roll) are Cali roll foundation, the toppings were flavorful and made it even more special. The size of all rolls were quite nice for the price. Our server Rocky was nice, efficient and understanding of our food allergies/sensitivities and checked on us just the right amount of times. Altogether, we were just about $100 with tip included. Pleasantly surprised at this return visit for sure!"
