"We come here for all of our family celebrations. This time, we came to celebrate my Brother’s birthday. The food was amazing. We had fried catfish, fried shrimp, the shrimp dinner, a ribeye, salads and several other dishes. All of us left with our palates pleased and to go plates. Definitely try the chargrilled oysters. They are the best in Louisiana, and I live in New Orleans. Everyone here is amazing, but if Gavin is there, ask for him. He was super attentive to our table, gave our family a truly wonderful experience and treated our 92 year old grandmother extra special. What a super guy and server."

"The staff was SO friendly that in a city full of friendly people they still stood out.We did the breakfast buffet for $16/person and it was totally worth it. All the staples of a good buffet and it was cooked well! The bacon and sausage particularly stood out to me.I also ordered a pineapple juice that I think was mixed with Sprite or something because it was a little fizzy and very sweet. But on a morning when it was 90+ degrees outside it was much needed.I'd definitely recommend!"

"The service was great. The food was only okay. We had the crab cakes and we both had red fish (one with creole sauce and one blackened with crawfish étouffée). The crab cakes were cold, but the taste was good. The blackened fish was so overcooked, it had the texture of dry chicken breast. I can make much better at home. I would have sent it back, but I was in a hurry. The greens that came with both dishes were good. Definitely overpriced for what it is."

"My boyfriend and I visited Don?s today for the first time. I was really excited because the menu sounds amazing. The hostess were very friendly and the whole ambiance of the restaurant was nice. We were seated in a booth, the table was kind of dirty but I didn?t make a big deal of it. We started by ordering a appetizer and some drinks. The fried alligator was tasty. The lemonade and sweet tea was not. It tasted like they used tap unfiltered water to prepare it. Very unpleasant tatste. I ordered the seafood platter combo and my guy ordered the stuff fish. The food was not good at all. My seafood platter was not a platter, I only received 2 fried oysters, 3 tiny pieces of fish, about 7 frozen shrimp, 1 stuffed shrimp. I was not pleased. The stuffing on the shrimp was unappetizing, it tastes like stove top stuffing, no crab meat and no flavor. My guy also said that his stuffing in his fish tasted the same. The gumbo was not good. No flavor. I?m disappointed ?? I told the server I did not like my food. I guess he?s used to it because he just took the food and didn?t say anything else. Didn?t offer a replacement or apologize. Whatever though I won?t be returning. If you?re looking for fresh seafood this is not the place you?re looking for."

"Our server was amazing, the food was pretty good, over all experience was great until they sat a group of individuals next to us. They were obnoxiously loud, kept getting up and standing directly in front of our table, blocking the way of the servers. They were so loud and in our space we didn’t even finish our meal. I feel like some one from management should of asked them to have a seat."

"We celebrated my father's 86th birthday with 11 family members at Don's restaurant. He loves the fried fish there, so we chose the Denham Springs location. The staff were incredibly accommodating and made it a special celebration. The food was delicious, and some in our group tried and enjoyed the Sunday brunch for the first time. We had 4 picky-eater children with us, aged 10 to 13, and the wait staff were very accommodating to their needs."

"an unpleasant experience from the beginning. As soon as we came in, we noticed a bad smell that reminded of water that was in the air for the whole meal. we sat down and got dirty cute, slightly used serviettes from the table next to us, and water that tasted as if it had a kind of cleaning chemicals jewelry. we filled the water from the car and drank it instead. the foods sold for the premium prices of $20, and while the fried items were in order, everything cooked like garnel, kartoffeln and mais were extremely overcooked. I was relieved when I got the bill and could leave this place. Save your money and go somewhere else."

"that's my second time in less time. the first time I was not impressed, but the jacked up oysters were delicious and I got the seafood plate consisting of fried fish, garnel and utter. I didn't taste my food. the second time was for a small meeting with the family. from beginning to end it was not pleasant. we arrived at 18:15 a.m. and did not sit until 19:35 a.m., which was not the problem. our waiter was very sweet and understanding. that was a catastrophe for all of us. some of us had to change our drinks twice. the sprit was flat and tasted funny. the limonade tasted like pure lemon and unclean water, even the waiter tried it and said something was gone. I just chose a coke. I had the jacked up oysters and they were really good. I also had the small fish with a side of stuffed potato and mac and cheese. it was terrible that the fish was very fat and looked like we were scraping the river. the waiter has checked our orders once and twice before he left the table and somehow they still managed to screw up the entire order. I'll just say that they can't handle too well with big masses because the place was full. While I would like to come back, I just don't think it was worth the price, nor was it to mean eating."

"I recently dined at this restaurant in the French Quarter on 2/4/2022 and was blown away by the delicious collard greens, which were the best I've ever had. They also offer a dedicated gluten free menu, which was a huge plus for me. Despite the busy Friday night crowd, we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. I opted for the $26 crab cakes, which were tasty but a bit on the small side. My husband enjoyed his $11 gumbo and $16 chicken po'boy sandwich. He loved the food so much that he kept asking to return to the restaurant every day. While I wanted to explore other eateries during my first visit to New Orleans, I am definitely planning to revisit this spot on our next trip to the French Quarter."

"My husband and I called ahead for a takeout order on Friday, December 23rd while passing through the area. I ordered the 1/2 shrimp etouffee and 1/2 fried shrimp and my husband ordered the crawfish quesadilla. The etouffee was literally the best I've ever had and the fried shrimp were prepared perfectly. "My husband and I were on a quest for some delicious crab cakes, and let me tell you, these were the best I’ve had in a long time. The cream sauce was delightful and complemented the cakes perfectly. "We had paid reservations, there was no reserved sitting. Money for the reservations deposit did not go towards our meal. The dress code was unnecessary when you have your staff wearing ripped jeans and biker short tigers. Johnny's T's has a 5 star website when in actuality its a 1 star club that serves food.. Very disappointed because the website doesn't complements the establishment."
