The last time we came to Shawn’s Sushi, we were really disappointed and didn’t return for several months. However, my husband and I have a policy when it comes to food, service, or restaurants that disappointed our palette: that we have to revisit them in 6 months to a year and see if our experience is still consistent (unless, of course, it was a terrible, terrible experience that cannot be remedied).
So, we ended up trying Shawn’s Sushi – and we were decently pleased. Still not the best sushi that I’ve ever tried, but the quality has gotten better (before, it was on par, if not less than days old “grocery” sushi). We ordered the Volcano Roll, Atomic Tootsie, and Shawn’s Spicy Tofu dish. His sushi rolls were with decent flavor, and the Spicy Tofu was good, especially if you need to clear your sinuses and want something easy to go down the throat. While his sushi is not something that I will be racing back to try, I know that I won’t be appalled or hesitant to try his other sushi rolls and dishes again!"
