"We 've been going to the Bird in Hand Diner since 1989, prior to the renovations now evident in the restaurant. This is a good place to visit if you 're good and hungry and don 't want to suffer indigestion or guilt after consumption. In the decades that we 've been going, I believe I only ordered from the menu once. All the other times was the buffet. One thing I 've noticed throughout those decades is that I 've never once moaned I can 't believe I ate the whole thing whilst suffering dyspepsia. The food is pleasant in appearance albeit with a saltier taste than is my preference. Many of the servers have been there for many years as evidenced by their badges which will include their number of years of service. I 've interacted with younger employees with zero social skills, yet am hopeful that they will develop over time and upon accumulating life experiences. The parking lot is large enough, particularly if you 're not one of those who always insists upon parking as closely as possible to the entrance. There is generally a wait to be seated, but never excessive in my experience, and there are items for sale in which to browse. Be aware that they will sometimes say your name just once, so pay attention. The prices are moderate for the food. Do you want to try a smorgasbord of Pennsylvania Dutch&style food that is well-prepared and fresh, centrally located in Amish County? The Bird in Hand Family Restaurant is your place!"
