"My group of three friends had never been to Peacock Garden, and we reserved at this restaurant based on what looked to be a beautiful, outdoor setting and good reviews. We were not disappointed with the setting. It was lush and tropical, each outdoor table spaced for private conversation. Our only complaint was that the music was a bit louder than necessary, and we had to talk loudly across the table to hear each other. The hostess told us the music was louder inside when we inquired about it while being seated. She found us the quietest outside table available. One of my friend ordered salmon and had inquired if she could request the level of doneness. Our server assured that she could, and she ordered it cooked rare. It arrived more like medium. Our server was quick to offer to return the plate to the chef, and my friend agreed. A fresh plate with a new piece of salmon and salad arrived soon after cooked as requested. Of course she had to eat her meal after we had finished ours. However, her meal cost was removed from the menu. The restaurant was VERY busy, and there was a delay getting our first drinks because the server told us the bar was so busy. We were never offered a second drink, which would have been nice since we were finished eating while my friend was eating her returned salmon meal. I couldnât find the server to flag down for a second glass of wine until it was too late to do so since everyone was finished their meals by that time. The salmon, when cooked properly the second time, was the best meal of our party. I had the burger and fries, fries came out limp, and burger was just ok. My other friend had the risotto which she said was good but not outstanding. When the server was around, he was excellent, but he just wasnât around enough. Overall though, still a four star."
