"We thought this was a unique place to meet friends, but turns out it 's one of several locations, mostly in Arizona and Texas and a few opening in the East and South too. The menu is slightly Italian (mostly the meats and cheeses available) but more so elevated American. Overall the food was good and prices were fair but the food quality was just average, with a wedge salad that was just torn iceberg salad (I guess that 's why they dropped out of culinary school, hehe) and a homemade lasagna that was the wrong texture (very firm) and aren 't all restaurant lasagnas homemade, so why put it in the title? We 'll give the server props though because every time we asked about a dish or said what we were going to order, she recited back what the dish was composed of, as if to confirm we were making the right selection. She also pushed dessert very early, like 50% into our entrees, and she won because we took the bait, but unfortunately they were oversold and again the flavors and textures were just a little off. The service was good but we 'd say a little overly attentive and of the type to butt in. The space was pretty cool/open/high ceilings, big space not on top of other people, with an open kitchen in the back. The music was a little too loud for the space for us to hear each other easily but it wasn 't impossible. Overall it was a good experience, we just wished the food were a little higher quality."

"Went to Nikko restaurant with my family twice. The service was excellent. The food sushi, General Tso's Chicken, Schezuan Beef, soup, deserts, drinks were excellent as well. I love the ambiance, the lighting was perfect. Only thing is that people at the bar and hibachi area can get loud and annoying but have some warm sake and you will fit right in. I really like this place since Hunan Balcony and our other favorite restaurant China Fun closed, this is definitely my family's new favorite restaurant. This is an Update: July 9th 2023 My family and I have ordered Nikko for delivery through UberEats several times but today my family member ordered two different dinners soups and salads including an appetizer crab Shumai. Food seemed a bit unorganized and shuffled in the bag but bag was stapled as usual, everything was spilled and leaking that was unusual generally when when we received an order every thing is organized and no soups leaking. Upon eating two bites of the shrimp and broccoli and General Tso's and crab Shumai. I immediately threw up, this food was completely rotten and had a chemically taste. I cannot believe we ate some of this rotten food, everything had to be thrown out immediately after consuming a bit of the food we all became ill from the chemically taste and realized the putrid smells fumigating from the bag it was delivered in this is definitely a food safety issue and I hope the food inspectors will investigate thier kitchen and cooks Unfortunately we will not be ordering again. I hope this restaurant will realize just how fast they can lose great customers by not checking the quality of the food they send out to their loyal customers. I'm very disappointed in this place as we have been ordering here for a while now. But fortunately for us there are many other great Chinese/Thai restaurants who have better quality control and will not deliver rotten/chemically tasting food to their customers."

"RUINED OUR THEATER EVENING when we gave them another chance after RUINING MOTHERS DAY. After communicating both in the reservation and when we were being seated that we had theater tickets and needed to manage a timeline, the staff at Culinary Dropout left us sitting, unacknowledged by a server for fully 15 minutes until I waived down another server and asked for assistance. They then took our order. The food was subsequently delivered only 2 minutes after our cocktails, leaving no room to really enjoy the cocktail before having the meal delivered. Then we asked for dessert. We specifically ordered the no prep required pie (as opposed to the baked fresh dessert to ensure we could get out on time. 15 minutes later they still hadn’t delivered the single piece of cold Mississippi mudslide pie we had ordered. Now we were pushing being late for the theater. I asked for the check and the pie to go. This thoughtless staff didn’t do any of the things needed to take care of a table who clearly communicated a timeline for dining. They ruined what was supposed to be a lovely dinner before the theater with anxiety about whether we could get what we needed in time. They get some stars because the food, when it came, was quite good. But if you want to have a great experience, they fail utterly. (Note we came to culinary dropout to give them another chance and use the $50 gift card from the last dining horror when on Mother’s Day they took over an hour to bring our meals. NEVER AGAIN!!!!"
