"everyone was so nice and professional! I had the most pleasant culinary experience! we have not been rushing. the server were attentive. uoh ~ and the chocolate martini, lychee martini, and gin and tonic and chardonnay were delicious! we had the thun-fish tower and auberginen rollatini, for dinner we had 2 osso bucos, I had the crab cake. desserts of feigen and honiggelato and crème brûlée.and coffee. everything was delicious! I had such a nice evening with good friends and delicious meals and excellent dining room service! we see you again very soon"

"This was my 1st visit to Cassati’s although I have passed it by in my car for several years. I stopped in to pick up an order but decided to have a drink at the bar while waiting. I appreciated the very friendly and warm welcome from the hostess who is a wonderful person. The bar is quite large, comfortable seating, very nice subdued lighting, modern and welcoming. I ordered an Italian cocktail from the bartender Adam who was not familiar with it although he said he’d look it up. I instead ordered a more well known cocktail which was well made. Maybe next time he will have looked up the original cocktail. I would have had a cup of coffee before leaving but the bartender was busy with other tasks even though I was the only one in the bar. He seems a bit aloof and not really interested in engaging with customers which is a bit odd. Many wine bars at least offer a glass of water and a coaster or napkin with the drink. The bartender did not provide either. I was surprised there were no bar snacks offered or available which would have made the experience better. I was hoping for a true Italian aperitivo where small portions of food could be ordered with your cocktails since the restaurant is owned by native Italians. The pappardelle ragu that I ordered for take out turned to be a great choice with home made noodles unlike other restaurants that make them out of a box or package. The flavors and preparation were spot on! Compliments to the chef. While I have access to excellent Italian restaurants in Old Town, I’m sure I’ll be back to Cassati’s and will again try to order an Americano! This is a true gem in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The 5 stars were primarily because of the nice hostess, interesting restaurant design and for the delicious food. Sadly the bar service was not a highlight."

"We have been here several times over the years. The food is always good. The Little Gem Caesar salad was very good. The lettuce was nice and fresh and the dressing very creamy. The organic chicken was tasty, but the spinach was hard to chew and the little potato's didn't have a creaminess and great flavor. They were soft, but not wonderful. My husband had the salmon which he really enjoyed. He ordered it medium rare and it was perfect. The wait staff was very good. They were attentive and helpful. There were a few things I did not like. The restaurant has atmosphere, but it is too dark for someone with poor eye sight. There are too many steps for someone who has difficulty walking. When you come in from the back parking lot, there is a step up to the path (but no curb cut). There are 3 steps once you step into the restaurant. The lighting is quite dark. And, because the restrooms are downstairs, everyone uses the handicap bathroom. There is no clear sign that it should only be used by the elderly and truly handicapped. The other item is the menu. There are way too many items that are spicey. Most of the specials had either jalapeño peppers and/or chili flakes."

"MY wife and I are new to So Florida so we are trying new places. Devine is close by and our Grandchildren are coming to visit. This place is perfect. Really good food for the adults and children. The causer salad was fresh and tasted home made, the steak with truffle butter and potato was thoroughly enjoyed. Happy Hour was extended for a $5 Cosmo and 2 for 1 house wine. Almond Joy dessert was just like the candy bar only cakier. The only negative was the Rosso Bucco was very overcooked. We are definitely going back."

"Nice energetic server and warm decor. The food is very underwhelming. Salad was mostly iceberg lettuce and not that fresh. Tomatoes are those mass grown tomatoes that are pink and grainy and the black olives looked like the ones you get on a cheap pizza. Pasta was meh, alfredo sauce tasted like it came out of a jar. Wife and I are easy to please but the food here was a complete let down.I appreciate the owner's response. I look forward to trying this place again when the best ingredients become available and the chef's talents can shine."

"I was excited to try this new restaurant. Absolutely do not eat here. I made a reservation and after 40 minutes, they kicked us out!!! Yes!!!! It was not that we were overstaying. They did not lets us finish our drinks and took the water off the table and stated that they needed the table for a bigger party. We weren't allowed to order desert or coffee. I was in shock!!! I did approach the owner and he gave me a false apology. I live in the North End and there are plenty of restaurants to go to. AVOID this one. I'm not one to write bad reviews (only good ones), but I had to as I, again, was totally baffled. Had I known I would not have left the 25% tip. Once they got our money......we were discarded."

"although eating was good, I felt that the options seemed limited. the service was, in my opinion, extremely bad. I had asked about possible recommendations, and it seemed as if the waitress/wacher had not given the full attention to the question. "The best penne alla vodka I’ve ever had in my entire life! Let me tell you, the pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was wonderfully creamy with just the right amount of pepper flavor that complemented it beautifully. The chicken was also cooked perfectly and paired well with the pasta. The portion size was generous, allowing me to take some home. We arrived at noon, and the restaurant was quite busy. We were fortunate to find an open table since we didn’t have a reservation. I highly recommend making a reservation if you want to dine here for lunch, as it’s a very popular spot."

"This place looked like a nice place to eat in. I was alone in town for business so I ordered take out. While the flavor of my pasta meal was good, the sun dried tomatoes in the Champagne sauce were too chewy to eat. As a takeout meal it should have been packaged better. The flimsy common styrofoam box sat lopsided in the plastic sack and a lot of the sauce spilled out as the bag was handed to me. The menu prices were high and being al acarte meant no salad and not even a crust of bread. This is not the Italian hospitality it should have been. I don't recommend it if you are budget conscious and have any authentic Italian restaurant expectations."

"I’ve been here probably a dozen times and never gotten their pizza because the pasta is always amazing. Last night I tried their sausage apple pizza… hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had Crust was perfectly crispy and there was a generous amount of toppings. "I dragged my husband here for their Pastrami sandwich, which I heard was good. We split and asked to have mustard and sauerkraut on the side so we could each have our half like we liked. (No honey mustard here for fry dipping btw, if you're into that) and it was perfect. Not too fatty, full of flavor and proportions of ingredients were spot on.My husband and I visited Tropicana, Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay the pastrami sandwich from Robert Irvines continued to be brought up as a highlight of our day.Decor is interesting, But for us it was a quiet, relaxing, tasty experience on the strip for a good price.Was planning to go once just to try but I am already considering going back for another pastrami sandwich before this trip is over."

"We decided to try this restaurant and unfortunetly the food was very bad. My husband order a meatball and spaghetti (overcooked pasta and tastless meatballs) ,my nephew order veal parmegiana, my niece order a margarita pizza and I order a Cioppino. The Cioppino was a tomatoe sauce with some poor quality seafood( Absolutely not a Cioppino). The veal and risoto was terrible!(tastless). The pizza was tought and tastless. The only item we all liked was the Bruchetta board."
