"we decided to eat in wolf too lunch and the little dish similar to tapas. the grußpersonal was professional and charming. our waiter was a bit inconspicuous, but he was beautiful when he was at the table. the food was excellent: we had the daily special mussels pasta with roasted butternut quesh (a perfect cold weather dish) and a beurre blank with truffle reduction. I would give this court a 5-star rating every day of the week. our table was quiet, with a view of the road from the 2nd floor. manhattan prices are stiff to wein: a glass costs the same as the whole bottle trade. it is nyc to christmas. enjoys!"

"Unfortunately, when we arrived for our 6:30 dinner reservation, the doors were locked. A lovely woman opened the door and let us in through the back entrance by the patio, informing us that the restaurant closed at 7 PM. I’m not sure why OpenTable allowed us to book a 6:30 reservation when the restaurant's operating hours on Friday are from 3 to 7 PM. However, she graciously offered to serve us, and her service was excellent, but the food left much to be desired. I’ll consider returning one more time when the restaurant is fully open and the live music is playing, as that might provide a better experience."

"I understand that finding good staff can be challenging, but the manager on duty was ineffective. I had a feeling I was treated poorly because of my casual attire on a Sunday, which is disrespectful. I don't usually voice my complaints to staff, but I felt it necessary this time. The bartender even cried to the manager when I asked to speak with them, making excuses instead of acknowledging the problem, which I witnessed firsthand. Overall, this was the worst experience I've had at a Nordstrom Cafe, especially given its location in The Grove. The service was terrible, and I won’t be returning. I plan to escalate this issue to someone higher up in management."

"It very disappointing Bar Verde at Nordstrom doesn’t validate parking and wants their guest to either go to AMC or Gelson to validate the parking. Food was okay the pasta dish I had was uncooked. The pasta was way to Al dente and hard the waiter hardly came bye to fill my friends drink. Which is odd because he didn’t not have a lot of tables to provide service. I think I am just going to stick to going to locations at South Coast Plaza and Del Amo because they never skip a beat on quality and customer service."

"This will forever be my favorite spot for lunch. The food and service is always outstanding. The great view of strip and people watching is a bonus, but I’m always too busy with my popover and strawberry butter while sipping my chicken broth to notice. We have never tried anything we did not like off their menu. The tuna melt is my #1 favorite item along with truffle fries. Should you ever be lucky enough to dine here when their Chef’s soup of the day is the steak stew… you HAVE to have it. What a great place to grab a bite and take a small break from shopping. Love this place!"

"Out of 4 nights in Toronto, we ate dinner here twice. We were positively surprised and very pleased. On the 3rd floor of Nordstrom, you have to know it is there to eat there, but this is typical of Nordstrom restaurants. The surprise was...the happy hour menu (ends at 6 pm). While limited, several appetizers were 1/2 off, wine for 6 CAD and liqueur were heavily discounted too. service was very good. Now, we got there at 5:40 pm on a Tuesday, then again at 5:10 pm on a Friday, so the place was not too busy. Nonetheless, good experience is good experience Fried Calamari appetizer at CAD 7 was very good (regular price 14 Small thin pizza very good at CAD 7. Lime Chicken at 5 was bad value, but heck... The shrimp saffron pasta dish was good, regular price 22? the Cod dish at 33, while not cheap, well prepared and fresh. Chowder very good. Shrimp salad good. wine for 6 per glass is incredible in Toronto, and the pour both nights were very generous, far more volume than the typical glass and the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were both good."

"Positives: Server was amazing. Super friendly helpful. And the popovers n strawberry butter goid… The food, though: …Meh. Completely unremarkable, and tasteless. Tried sampler: cup soup, salad n half sandwich. $23 …very bland n nothing to remark. Salad was a coleslaw. Soup was tortilla/not good. Sandwich chicken salad— zero in the chicken salad except chicken n Mayo. I asked for Dijon for flavor… my daughter had to order fr kids menu since minimal vegetarian options. Two only: an $18-20 salad or a grains bowl no protein (tofu or plant). And all quite pricey for what was served. Ambiance quiet elegant as expected."

"I took my wife to Mariposa for her birthday. It has changed some since our last visit. The menu is reduced, the of folks in the restaurant were minimal, and the feeling we had was that it had lost its ambiance! Ugh...is that a good way to explain it feels like Mariposa has seen better days? The popovers are still outstanding along with the strawberry butter. The only soup is the Chicken Tortilla which wasn 't as good as we remembered it but it was still excellent. The other items we ordered were 'just ok ' (also compared to what we remember). The spice tea is still amazing. The service was great better than great actually. And the prices are still high as you might expect at a NM restaurant. But in all honesty, the luxuriousness of eating at a NM restaurant just wasn 't there. I want to think that taking my wife to Mariposa for her birthday lunch was as memorable as we have experienced in the past. But it was just ok. She liked it so 5 stars but not sure we 'll spend a special occasion there again. The entire NM experience at WillowBend is lacking severely, and it looks like a place on its last legs of living...it 's a shame. Most of the name brands are gone, the racks are sparse, and the salespeople are low to no energy...not the NM I remember for sure. At least the popovers are still great as we remember..."

"Service was very friendly but exceedingly slow. The popovers did not meet up to my fond memories from lovely lunches from years past. The starter chicken broth tasted right out of the can. Strange start. The cauliflower on my roasted vegetable entree tasted of being too long in water as did the quinoa. The fries on my granddaughter’s meal were overly peppered (making them inedible for her) and tasted as if they had been reheated not freshly fried. Next time I’ll go to Panera for a freshly prepared and tasty meal. The ambiance is not much different."

"We have been to Madeline's before and had good food and service. The food was good but not great on our last visit. The apps were good but my Shepard's Pie was weak at best. It had very little meat and the mash potatoes were almost runny. It was topped with little carrots and that was it. Shepard's pie is a poor man's pub food and that's what I got but it cost $26.00!!!. The over all experience was good but we put Madeline's on the do not eat there again list."

"I went to Charles Street bakery to place a cake order 3 days after they made my beautiful delicious red velvet cake (the purple one). I told them that I want it exactly like the previous cake that I had gotten (size wise) but this time I want carrot cake. The same person that took both cake orders responded by saying ok so 6in 3 layers then? And I said yes. Because I wanted a tall cake like the previous one, so we both had an understanding. I go pick up the cake yesterday and I see that the cake is not tall at all from the glass fridge. I tell the cashier who was the one that took my order that I ordered a 3 layer cake and that my cake was supposed to be taller, which she agreed. She tells them in the back that it was supposed to be a 3 layer cake and they tell her that is a 3 layer cake. When I tell you I was so blown away that that was a 3 layer cake… like I was so confused. The cashier brought me “manager”. Kathy (manager) proceeded to tell me that carrot cakes are thinner than other cakes and reassured me that it is 3 layers. I told her that I specifically told the person who took my order that I wanted the cake to be as tall as my last one so that’s why she put down 3 layers on the order sheet. I’m very annoyed because this second cake (black) was much more expensive than the first cake (purple). I honestly wasn’t going to take the cake but they have a contract that you only get 50% back. I was not going to let them keep $45 which I honestly think should have been the price of that cake. Katie the “manager” pretty much blames it on still having to staff and gave me her number so that I can place my order trough her next time so there would not be any confusion. Katie said that next time say you want 4 layers when ordering a carrot cake, i don’t believe 4 layers would have been enough for that height, i thinking 6 layers. To make things worse the cake was extremely dry. Charles Street Bakery does make very beautiful cakes and can voucher for their red velvet cake because it was moist and delicious . I would advise you to think twice when ordering a carrot cake from them for a special event."

"we had dinner at ribaut social for my birthday. we were a party of three. dinner was amazing! we ordered 3 different entrees (scallops, heavy fish and callbshupe) and loved all. the scallops were the best we ever had! the only disappointment was that there was no dessert. Apparently, it did not come to the satisfaction of the cook. but it was good because we were all quite full of dinner and we just wanted to share one because it was my birthday. we will definitely be back! this is the best restaurant in beaufort for a special occasion!"
