"The standout aspect of my visit was undoubtedly the customer service, which was exceptional. The staff was attentive to our needs without being intrusive. I hope that this warm service extends to the bar area as well. Unfortunately, the bar experience left much to be desired. With only one patron present and two bartenders available, the service there felt slow and impersonal, which was quite disappointing.
Sadly, the food did not meet expectations. While the presentation was appealing, it resembled fair food at best. I tried the shrimp po' boy, a highly recommended chicken and waffle dish, and boom boom shrimp. The chicken was tough and seemed like it had been sitting around for too long, and the shrimp in both dishes had poor breading that did not match the quality one would expect for the price. Overall, I ended up spending $50 for what felt like a budget meal.
I gave the restaurant a score of 4 mainly due to the outstanding customer service and the management's understanding attitude toward my food concerns; they comped my meal and offered a complimentary dessert as an apology. However, it’s not ideal to rely on freebies when dining out. The restaurant boasts a beautiful setting and a great staff (excluding the bar), but there is definitely room for improvement in the food quality relative to the prices they charge."
