Golden fried calamari rings, crispy on the outside and tender inside, served with a tangy dipping sauce for a delicious appetizer.

"Crab dip was subpar but steamed shrimp was awesome. Server never cleared the table before bringing out more food. Then the runner looked confused when I asked her to remove the dirty plates first. My husband noticed the building was under negative air pressure caused from Kitchen hood exhaust (kitchen saloon doors sucked in) causing hot humid exterior air to rush into the restaurant when the exterior doors would open. Sit away from doors if you want A/C. Outdoor seating looked nice and led to long pier on the water."

""This is a decent steakhouse. While it doesn't offer anything extraordinary, it certainly isn’t bad. I’m personally not a fan of steakhouses that serve steaks cut from the bone; our steaks were presented that way, which seems to be a common practice in New Jersey steakhouses—especially unless you're ordering a porterhouse for two. My T-bone steak was good and flavorful, but not very tender; I found it quite challenging to cut with the rather dull steak knives provided. The sides were enjoyable, and the clam appetizer was excellent, although I was about 99% sure I asked for the casino style and received the oreganata instead. However, since I like both styles, it wasn’t a major issue, as I could have easily miscommunicated. For dessert, the pecan pie was nice, but the molten lava cake was served hot, which surprisingly affected its quality in a negative way. When the bill arrived, I was taken aback; it matched the quality of the meal rather than exceeding it. I would consider returning.""

"We came for my boyfrienda birthday. It was extremely disapppointing. The food was awful and over priced. There was also limited selection. The caesar salad was terrible and full of the ier yellow lettuce that made it bitter. I hadnt been to the restaurant for years and it has significantly gone down hill. I was speaking to an acquaintance and he had the same opinion.Service was ok but slow. Actually the busboy forget to give one of us water and when we asked for it, he argued with us and said he did give it.Truly was a waste of moey but more importantly ruined the birthday celebration."

"We were lucky enough to get an Airbnb two blocks down from Skye Bar. We didn’t think much of it from the street view, but decided to give it a try since it was so close. We’ve stopped in the last 3 days in a row, and plan to continue that through our vacation. Their happy hour is fantastic cheap (but delicious) orange crushes, $1/each oysters, live music for four hours, and a great staff. One of the bartenders, Jonathan, recognized us after a day, and has been nothing but welcoming. Would highly recommend, and will absolutely be back to visit during future stays, regardless of where we’re staying. SKYE BAR!"

"Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time."

"My family of five dined there about a week ago, and I must say, the food was quite good. I would definitely return. However, I would suggest that the staff pay more attention to cleaning the tables. My table was a folding circular one, and there was a thick, old crust of food accumulating in the folds at both ends."

"Still some of the best pizza around. Such a shame what 's happening to this mall and all malls for that matter. I 'm sure Cafe Riviera is a victim of that. We were waited on immediately we just walked up to the counter and there was basically nobody else in the mall anyway. The mall is just horrible. Just a bunch of garbage stores like you see in a bad neighborhood like 69th St Upper Darby. We specifically went into the mall to go to Cafe Riviera. We each ordered a slice somehow the kid behind the counter got my fiance 's slice wrong when he brought it out of the oven, but we had waited long enough, he was like I 'll just take it. We sat at the table in the mall and ate then walked the mall. Yikes. I 'm pretty sure the days are numbered for Concord Mall which is so sad. I hope Cafe Riviera can find some place to go that allows them to continue to do business."

"If you enjoy watching chefs cook right in front of you, then this is the place to be! The chefs put on an excellent show while you enjoy your meal right before your eyes. The sushi here is also top-notch, with a wide variety of options and special rolls to choose from. I have been here several times and always find myself ordering the same delicious roll and leaving satisfied. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault! While the hibachi can be a bit pricey, it's the only hibachi experience I've had and the entertainment, interaction, and delicious food make it worth the cost. I would also like to extend a special thank you to the gentleman who treated me and my family during one of our visits – your generosity is greatly appreciated."

"made a reservation for 7:45 via open table, called to confirm and they explained that for the hibachi side, you have to call and request a table rather than booking online like their website says. Was told we could get in at 7:45, but was not seated until 9:15. Upon being seated at the hibachi side, we noticed that it was so cold in the room all of our guests could actually see their breath. They only had 2 hibachi chefs for 5+ tables and the wait got out of control. Finally after waiting for more than 2 hours beyond our reservation for food, and having no chef show up at our table for 45 minutes (that was freezing cold we decided to leave without eating dinner. After i explained to him why we wanted to leave, he proceeded to charge us for drinks we ordered while sitting at the hibachi table that never arrived (yes, never arrived after 45 minutes! . It wasnt worth arguing about, i just paid the bill and left. I will never return to this establishment. Between the 2 hour late reservation, their lack of customer service, and the gumption to charge me for food and drinks I never got to enjoy, it was all in all a horrific new years eve. Because they were so behind on our table, we missed our evening plans and ended up going home and ordering take out. Thanks Volcano for the horrendous service."

"I typically only write reviews when I've had a negative experience, but this time I felt compelled to share my positive thoughts. I ordered the chicken and broccoli, and I was really impressed. The chicken was tender, which is a rarity for takeout Chinese food; it usually tends to be tough and chewy, making me question its quality. I will definitely be ordering from this place more often! My only wish is that they offered homemade iced tea."

"The food was mediocre at best. I was disappointed because the restaurant got such raving reviews. The lobster bisque had no lobster in it and was flavorless. the entire bowl was sent back and server said nothing. On to the main course, the crab cakes were missing the crab, but plentiful with the breading. These crab cakes tasted processed as If they were pre-maid and put it the microwave. The mashed potatoes tasted very much like instant stuff. The seafood Alfredo was good, but only shrimps and scallops, I couldâve had a better portion and same tasted at Red Lobster for the price. The drinks were good. I wouldnât waste my time or money here!"

"My brother and friend randomly stumbled into this bar on a Friday night after the giants game. The bar was not crowded but it was busy. The bartender immediately tended to us and was very friendly. We didn't order food, just drinks. We weren't there for more than 15 minutes but it was a pleasant experience. Definitely seems like a cool place to hangout and enjoy some good pub food and a drink. I'll have to come back."

"Crab dip was below average but steamed prawns were great. The server never cleared the table before bringing more food out. Then the runner looked confused when I asked them to remove the dirty plates first. My husband noticed that the building was under negative air pressure caused by the hood of the kitchen hood (sucked in doors of the kitchen parlor) which caused hot, humid outside air to enter the restaurant when the outside doors opened. Sit away from the doors if you want air conditioning. Outdoor seating looked nice and led to a long pier on the water."

"Today, I ordered a Tangier omelette and lentil soup from a restaurant through GrubHub. I can't provide feedback on the soup as I will be having it for dinner later, but I was disappointed with the omelette. The seasoning in the eggs and potatoes was good, but the avocado was overripe and very brown. It seemed like someone had intentionally chosen a bad avocado for this paid service. Despite the restaurant's great reviews, I feel like I received a subpar order, so I don't think I will be ordering from here again."

"We were three adults with two (nicely dressed and well mannered) kids at 5 in the evening on a Sunday. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and the rude hostess shoved us at a tall bar table in between a service station and the kitchen door. After asking someone other than the hostess were moved to a regular table. The waitstaff was either overwhelmed or just terribly trained. Service took forever, orders were wrong, and the music was unnecessarily loud. BBQ brisket tasted like it was pounded with a mallet and soaked in liquid smoke. The one good thing I can say about this place is that the onion rings were incredible."

"I visited this restaurant with my family for Father's Day and the food was outstanding! I ordered a chicken gyro and it was delicious, much better than the ones in Manhattan! I found the prices and portion sizes to be fair, and the staff were exceptional. We were fortunate that it wasn't too busy when we visited, but all the staff members were very friendly. Our waitress, Keri, was kind, attentive, and patient, which was greatly appreciated by our family of six. I would highly recommend dining here! 10/10 rating for sure!"

"I was in Utica on business and decided to try a different restaurant after eating at the hotel for two nights. I found Ancora in the theater district and it was an excellent choice in every way. The Bruschetta for appetizer, Mushroom Stuffed Raviola as the house special, an oversized glass of tea, and one of the best Silver Patron margaritas made for one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The price versus value was great, especially for a restaurant in the theater district. I highly recommend Ancora if you're in the Utica area for a meal you won't regret."
