"Unfortunately, my experience was very unimpressive. I came on Sunday for their bottomless brunch buffet and bottomless mimosas. Bottomless brunch buffet is $34/pp and the bottomless mimosas are an additional $12/pp. I had been wanting to try Jerk N Jive since I moved to Maryland 3 years ago, but their prices always threw me off. I figured the bottomless brunch was a good opportunity to give them a try (I was drawn in by the bottomless mimosas since there's only one other place I know in Frederick that offers that lol . Walking in to the place, I was pleasantly surprised with the vibe. It's a lot nicer than I was expecting. Not fancy by any means, but not casual or hole in the wall. It looks clean and it's not too noisy. Average noise level at most. Our server was very attentive. He checked on us several times throughout our time there. It was not very busy when we got there (11am Sunday and didn't get too much busier while we were there. Now to the food: very unimpressive!!! I was actually quite disappointed with the buffet food. It seemed to be kept warm not hot, so by the time you got to your seat your food was cold already. With the cost of the buffet, I was expecting so much more. For what you get, it seemed more like a $20 buffet than a $34 one! I tried the curry chicken (was good! , the peas and rice (not bad , sausage and bacon (O-K , gravy (not warm/hot enough!!! It was O-K , jerk salmon (needed more flavor, kinda bland , waffle (AMAZING! , French toast (meh , fried chicken (very bland , and an omelet from the omelet station (MEH! Too eggy for me considering the toppings ratio. Maybe I should've asked for a little less egg . The bottomless mimosas comes with a flavor you choose and they just bring you a bottle. I chose strawberry so they gave me a bottle of champagne and strawberry syrup. I had to pour it and mix it myself. Overall, my favorite things here were the curry chicken and the waffles!! Not even the mimosa made anything better. I'm glad I tried it but I don't think I'll be back. I think it's overpriced for the quality you actually get. I feel like you pay just as much as Dutch's Daughter for lesser quality presentation and food. I love a great bottomless brunch, especially mimosas! They would've had me as a returning customer had it been on point."

A Taste Of Burma

A Taste Of Burma

"A Taste of Burma is hands down my favorite restaurant in the DC area and possibly the entire region. I have traveled within Burma as well as eaten at many Burmese restaurants in the states (San Francisco, New York, Buffalo and Phillie). Along with her predecessor Myanmar in Falls Church (very sadly no longer open) the flavors at Taste of Burma are by far the most wonderful I have tasted here in the US at any Burmese restaurant. The salads here are made w/ vegans in mind without fish sauce but this does not compromise the flavors. I always start with the tea leaf salad, mango salad and tofu salad. The golden finger tempura is also so yummy with a wonderful sweet and zippy tamarind sauce. I would quite frankly drink vats of the mint sauce that comes with the samosas if I could.... The sour mustard tofu as well as the pumpkin curry are good together, with any of the leafy green dishes to compliment them. The flavors and textures of the veggie and vegan dishes are richer and more complex than any meat dish you'll ever have at another restaurant. But if you eat meat you will not be disappointed. I eat fish so I always order the crispy fish fillet which is my absolute favorite. If you like a more mild creamy flavor and noodles I would recommend the golden mountain noodles which my six year old son loves the chilis are served as a garnish so you can go high heat or no heat depending on your preference. My recommendation would be to bring a big group of friends and family and order as many variety of things as you can and share."

"migrated and the commands take off. was automatically loaded a tipp that I did not discover until I was already at home. if I were obsessed and they would have provided service, I would not object, but would automatically recharge myself a top that I fought and my order is stolen in my eyes and even though I love them, unless these changes I will never eat there again. thievery didn't go well with me. after writing this contribution, I received an email from nancy pappas, who told me very kindly whether I could submit the reception she would accept for the thing. this incident occurred a few weeks ago, and I don't know if I got the one yet. I was still that I was automatically charged a top of $1.70, but can't document it and it's such a small amount that it's not worth making the trip back to northwood or I would have done this on the same day. per nancy they do not automatically load tips, but again, although I cannot document that I was charged the top, there is no question in my head that I was. either after reading my first post I found it unnecessary hard and not really reflecting for this restaurant and its food. I post my answer to nancy about this review and the situation. just to be very clear, pappas ' has amazing food that is quite expensive and the best Greek food around. I've been a fan for ever and I'll go back, I'm just gonna make sure I'm checking my quitter before I go. unless the reception is in my car, I no longer have it. I have to check tomorrow. to be fair if I can't find the reception, I will update my booking to reflect these information exactly. it was just $1.70 or so, but I really felt it was unfair to pay a drink when everything I did went and left my food. I was a pappas 'fan forever, from the way back when there was a small business of us 19 in the shopping plaza where cody's roadhouse was earlier as in the 1990s, and if I were living in dunedin I would have gone back to the website to ask why I was charged a tip, but the gas costs simply did not make any sense for such a small amount of money. I was just angry that a tip was added without asking me. pappas' kartoffel salad is the only kartoffel salad I like. either I am big enough to admit my posting was maybe a little hard and not really reflecting how I feel about her business. I ordered the trio of the Mediterranean spreads and a pound of kartoffel salad to change at a price of $27. many thanks for such a fast reaction."
