"So I heard of this place and finally checked it out. It's a hole in the wall on need of severe remodel BUT the staff was courteous, service fast and the food was amazing and decent priced. Way better then cracker barrel, IHOP and waffle house. They have a big menu for breakfast so for that 5stars. I would say if your hungry for breakfast this is the best place to go....the coffee isn't terrible but needs work Two people $27 well worth it"

"We have really liked this place in the past. They change up their menu frequently. This can keep it interesting but that wasn't my experience this time out. Was really wanting their salmon. It came with a tomato bacon salsa which I don't feel pairs well with salmon. It was overcooked although my request had been to have a translucent center. I should have sent it back, but I was so tired, I just wanted to move on. My husband got the fish and chips which he said were great. I had some of his fries, also great. We'll go back because this is a great spot with usually really good food, friendly efficient staff."

"We sat at the bar where we could see the entire restaurant. Great ambiance. Bartender Cecile was very nice and made a perfect Martini. Lemon Greek soup was hot, creamy and delicious, great way to start the meal. Stuffed grape leafs were good; the bechamel that was in them was not lemony enough, good that they served a wedge of lemon. It might have been nice to add some crumbled feta cheese. For an additional $3 we requested grilled pita bread which added to the dish. We will go gain."

"This is a gluten-free restaurant that truly gets it right! They offer an extensive two-page gluten-free menu, and their online ordering system has a dedicated section for gluten-free options, making it easy to select and specify any other allergies for each item. The food was not only delicious but also flavorful and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I received a text notification that my order was ready. Although there is no indoor dining area since it operates as a pickup window, there is outdoor seating available. The owners were incredibly friendly and engaged, clearly taking pride in their work, and justifiably so. As for dietary restrictions, they are attentive to all allergies and provide a well-thought-out gluten-free menu."

"Made a point of stopping here on the way back from the NJ side. It is one of our comfort places when we used to ride. The food is delish and ample portions. I took the champagne sauce from the mussels' home it was sooo good. Recommend toasting the bread for dipping. The pretzel came looking like a smiley face, lol. Huge. The cheeze and mustard perfect accouterments. The Mahi Mahi with mango was surprisingly delish. I would recommend cooking it a bit less. Was a bit dry. The wrap my husband assures me was very tasty. Parking is an issue. There was a young one training he worked hard. We shall return."

"I've placed three orders in the past month. My first order the food was good, My second two waters were not good at all I was hesitant to put the review up last time but at this point I need to put the review up. This is the sandwich you get when you order a chicken parm with extra vodka sauce. Almost no cheese at all You can clearly see there's no extra anything on here I've never seen a chicken parm come with such little sauce especially upon requesting extra and paying for vodka sauce. The chicken is dry as you can see it's overcooked. And the food took forever to get there and wasn't even hot. I live less than 2 miles away. I will no longer be ordering from here."

"I was on a quest to explore some great dining spots and stopped for breakfast at Wildflour. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was clean and cozy, and the food was simply perfect. Everything was served promptly, and the coffee was delicious and piping hot. I didn't get a chance to try the pastries, but they looked amazing. My only complaint is the name; it doesn’t have a nice ring to it. However, that’s not a big deal. I rarely find myself in the area, but this place will definitely be on my list for future breakfasts."

"Delicious food and a great atmosphere! Those were the second-best burgers I've ever had! They were cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and huge! The sides and appetizers were fantastic too; just be sure to pace yourself, or you'll definitely end up taking some food home because the portions are generous. Next time, we'll make sure to save room for dessert, but we were too full this time. The only two things that could be improved for me were the mixed drinks and the lighting. It was very dim, and the light at our table couldn't be adjusted, so much of our food was in shadows and hard to see. The mixed drinks weren't as impressive as I had hoped, but with their excellent craft beer selection, you really should focus on that instead! They have a wonderful variety of beers. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!"

"This is one of my favorite spots for breakfast and lunch in Azle, especially for home-cooked meals! Today, I noticed they’ve introduced new menus and updated their pricing for the first time in a long while—possibly forever. I'm glad, as I felt their prices were a bit too low for quite some time. The new prices seem much more reasonable now. There’s ample parking, and the staff is friendly, treating everyone like family. They have plenty of tables for larger groups and cozy booths along the walls. There are daily specials, but I often find myself here on meatloaf day, even though I'm not a huge fan of meatloaf in general. They offer a salad bar for lunch and dinner, featuring typical salad options. Today, I had a burger and fries for lunch, along with unsweetened iced tea. I appreciate the tea here because it tends to be stronger than at most places. The burgers are always visually appealing and delicious, and I enjoy the atmosphere created by the staff."

"My husband and I travel throughout Ireland and find that, stateside, Mavis’s Irish dishes are the closest in taste and quality to what we experienced throughout the Emerald Isle! The fish-n-chips are authentic, a traditional recipe, and the fish is haddock —the one-piece dinner is huge and more than enough for a hearty appetite! The coleslaw is homemade as are the fries! The quality of their Irish and American cuisine is EXCEPTIONAL and CONSISTENT, quantities are abundant! The menu and drink lists offer something for everyone and service is excellent, too! "This diner/cafe seems to be the only restaurant in town, but that's definitely a positive. "The service was slow, but understandable given the time of day and proximity to Easter. It took half an hour to receive our food. The banh mi did not live up to its description, lacking sliced vegetables and real sauce and resembling more of a Subway sandwich. We purchased two but only got five bites. The hushpuppies were burnt and tough, while the egg rolls were also burnt. The "fried rice" did not deserve the name. Our $100 lunch for a family of four was a major letdown. Is this the new trend in fusion food? The only redeeming dishes were the shrimp basket and the pommes. To the owner: The lack of customer service was disappointing. Once our food was brought to the table, no one returned to check on us. One person delivered our food as if they were inconvenienced. I didn't want to get up and ask for replacements for 75% of our meal and wait another half hour. It seemed like you wouldn't have been able to accommodate us anyway. Thanks for the effort, but we won't be returning. Best of luck."

"We ordered a bacon cheese burger and fish and chips. 4 stars for effort I can see where he’s going with his food. Big fresh thick burgers home cut fries and hand dipped nice fish filets. I was excited for a luscious burger technique execution needs work the grind on the burger was weird chunky hard to chew needs a finer grind or 2x through the grinder also dry needs an 80/20 mix for flavor and juice. And give option of well done or medium well. The fries need to be blanched and then chilled fried for soft inside crunch. Fish was fine but greasy. Turn up the heat on the frier will help with fry’s fish. Oh and the bacon was 1/2 raw real limp. Toss that in the fryer too?. This could be fabulous with a bit of inexpensive cooking techniques. Rooting for you!!"
