"They did offer to cover the cost of the pizza, but the manager—who may also be a co-owner—raised doubts by saying he’s been in the business for years and had never encountered anything like this before, suggesting that we might have caused it. This lack of accountability was very disappointing, especially considering the loyalty my friend has shown to this restaurant. 
Overall, it left a very bad impression. As someone who has run my own business, I was particularly dissatisfied with their customer service. It was unacceptable! I also pointed out how serious this situation could have been, but they showed little concern. They even asked my friend passive-aggressively if she would like another drink, which felt very off."
