"The Tagliatelle had a flavorless bolognese. The Spaghetti Pomodoro was very bland. The squid ink pasta was okay. It had far more flavor than the other sauces. The salad was the absolute best thing I ate. The vegetables were cut perfectly and the vinaigrette was delicious. The crostini with the salad was equally delicious. There was no plastic ware included. They should also include Parmesan cheese"

"We visited on a busy Saturday night, but we were seated right away thanks to our reservation on OpenTable. Our server, Marc, was friendly and chatty, exhibiting impressive efficiency and an uncanny ability to sense when we needed something. I discovered that Fattoria is the sister restaurant of Northside Kitchen, one of our favorites. The atmosphere is quite casual and moderately loud, but the food is exceptional. Prices run on the higher side, with most pasta dishes around $35 to $40. However, the pasta is made in-house and tastes incredible! The aged ribeye steak is priced at $88. They also have an enormous selection of wines. The bread is made at Northside Kitchen, but I found the focaccia a bit dry; the olive oil helped improve it, though. The Fattoria salad changes based on ingredient availability, so its description is purposefully vague. We were glad we ordered it to share, as it was delicious, featuring figs, beets, and carrots on greens. I had the lamb ravioli, and my partner chose the rabbit tortellini, both of which were handmade and phenomenally good. We will definitely be coming back!"

"I can't say enough good things about Maialino. First, the staff is top notch from the moment you walk through the door, to your server and wine service--impeccable. Food allergies? No problem and always attentive to my needs. As for the food, as an admitted carnivor that eats super low carb, let's just say that I was over the moon with their selection, quality products and perfect execution. I've had nearly all of their main courses, but to this day, always look forward to the roasted pig. Just wow! Another amazing meal at Maialino."

"This was my 2nd time and I loved it even more. Took the whole family for my sister's birthday. We had the pizza that was out of this world, great crust. Gnocchi, ravioli ... everything is so fresh and delicious. John, the owner, is a real gentleman and knows how to take care of his customers and the server we had that evening. I never felt rushed and could just enjoy the atmosphere and the great food. I highly recommend this restaurant. We look forward to a reunion."

"We recently hosted a private event for 100 people. Leading up to the event, our event coordinator Vanessa was fantastic to work with. She helped answer all our questions and made planning the event easy. The night of the event, we were thrilled with the manager and staff who helped make the event go smoothly. The servers were so kind and accommodating. The food was incredible for such a large quantity. The Italian White Cake was amazing! I can also highly recommend the lasagna. (Just like my mom used to make, but better! Would definitely host an event here again and will be back to eat with my family! Kid-friendliness: Great options for kids! Staff is kid-friendly."

"I honestly can’t remember the last time I didn’t have to ask for salt or pepper during a meal. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of bite, and the meat was cooked exactly as it should be. The side dishes were full of flavor and everything was seasoned wonderfully. I can't stress enough how exceptional the food was. Our waiter, Kent, was a fantastic host and offered perfect wine pairing recommendations throughout our meal. The noise level was a bit high, but that seems typical for Charleston. The atmosphere and space were great! We will definitely return the next time we’re in town. The food is absolutely worth it! Just a note: I’m posting pictures of their menu, but it changes weekly, so be sure to check the website! As for vegetarian options, the mushroom Campanelle was incredibly delicious and packed with flavor. They also inquired right away about any allergies or dietary restrictions, which I appreciated."

"My wife and I wanted a nice, relaxed place to sit outside and have a fun dinner. We were very disappointed with the service. It took our waiter about 10-15 minutes to get to the table (which feels like an eternity while waiting to order drinks). They took our drink order and quickly returned with a cocktail and water, but the beer we ordered was delayed by a few minutes. Not a big deal, but then the night went south. We haven't seen our server in a long time. We felt our starter was a bit delayed when foodrunners showed up with our starters. No app in sight. We let them know and eventually the server brought our app. But by this point we were already in the middle of the meal. The food tasted good. Nothing out of the ordinary, but not bad. I admit the nachos were delicious. The mac and cheese we ordered had breadcrumbs but that was missing. Fortunately, the server took care of it pretty quickly. We were never asked if we would like to have our drinks refilled. And after dinner we waited a long time for our check. It just seemed to take forever for everything. Neither of the problems on their own would have been a big deal, but together it made a somewhat uncomfortable experience. The waiter was nice and apologized. They also put together the starter for us which was lovely. Maybe it was a free night or maybe a new server but can't say I would recommend going on a Saturday night. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area. It was a little tight, but the ambience was nice."

"The most compelling thing about Beach Road is how it has been turned from a silk purse into a sow's ear. The former Saltwater restaurant was a light and airy jewel of a place, with a magnificent view, a terrific chef and an engaging staff. The ambiance was cheerful and romantic, fun and energetic. Unfortunately, Beach Road has inherited the old barn atmosphere of its sister restaurant State Road, and as a result, all the other great qualities of the venue are sadly gone, except of course for the great view,. The food and service were fine, and better than last year. It is only for those who fondly remember Saltwater that Beach Road suffers in comparison"

"I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. Even though I was informed that it was fully booked, I decided to take a chance and try my luck at the bar. Luckily, I was able to snag a table. The bartender, who was beautiful with curly hair in a ponytail and a tattoo on her left shoulder, was incredibly helpful and kind. I mentioned that it was my birthday dinner and she recommended some delicious entrees, so I chose the steak. The food was fantastic and served hot, which I appreciated. The mojitos she made were perfect as well. The atmosphere was enjoyable, although the prices were a bit high, I felt it was worth it. I will definitely be returning, and next time I'll make sure someone else is footing the bill! Lol."

"We always enjoy Mezzo, but our New Year's dinner did not meet their usual standards. Unfortunately, when we made our reservations, we were not informed that there would be a set menu with limited choices for the salad, entrée, and dessert. We were also not told the price per person. "Our family enjoyed the outdoor seating and the servers did a fabulous job moving other tables inside quickly when rain hit out of the blue. We were under an umbrella and a large tree and didn't have to move and the rain ended quickly. Our teenage children haven't been to many nice restaurants and they loved the creative appetizers, especially the homemade croutons on the ceasar salad, delicious! We all had very good meals and were too full for dessert which is unfortunate because I have had the chocolate bread pudding with Baileys before and it is divine! There are so many tasty options and we enjoyed the scallops as well as the duck, key lime chicken and the flank. You can't go wrong!"
