"I didn't know what to expect, but overall the food is excellent. Before pandemic, when I went from this place, it was alive with an abundance of patrons, loud music and a lot of sociality; a true Cuban atmosphere. It was a bit underestimated when I visited. Only the café area was open, but I had ordered online for pickup. All went smoothly and I like the convenience of prepayment The order was not completely finished when I arrived at the time, but shortly after. Also the expected text notification that the order has arrived at 5:04. A little glittering. I ordered the following Jerk Grilled Chicken Wings: They were just fine, and did not have the punch of spices I expect from Jerk Caribbean food. The side of the blue cheese dressing was usual. The wings were well cooked and fleshy. Bistec Encebollado: a Ribeye Steak that I have rarely ordered medium. It was perfect, a beautiful cut and succulent. The potatoes and onions with it were great, delicious and perfectly cooked. A very good dish. Empanada Pollo: The online menu has only beef, but I saw another menu with chicken. I asked and understood chickens! The empanadas are large and full of meat and taste. Some of the best I had in the Bay Area. Comes with a beautiful Zilantro sauce. Arroz Con Pollo Fricassee: absolutely delicious and a standout entree. The chicken is plentiful and falls tenderly from the bone. The rice was flavored and incredibly good. Tostones con Mojo: fried plantains that radiate taste and quite tasty. They come with a fresh and light diving sauce. The consistency was a bit too crispy for my taste. Grill Pan Cubano: I was curious about Cuban bread and there were fresh and large cuts that were actually grilled with a light spice rub. It's good. New Havana salad: very fresh and full of green and special extras, such as black beans, mango, tomatoes, beavers of Manchego and bananas (plant perhaps? The dressing was delicious and had a fruity taste. I just wish they would tear the greens some as you get huge leaves to eat...ok, a knife to eat it! Not everyone in the kitchen was fully masked, but they were to do with the public. I feel for those who work in restaurants today. TIP WELL! Overall it was great and I would like to return for more.
